Israel In The Eurovision Song Contest 2013
Israel participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 with the song "Rak Bishvilo" written by Chen Harari and Gal Sarig. The song was performed by Moran Mazor. The Israeli entry for the 2013 contest in Malmö, Sweden was selected through the national final ''Kdam Eurovision 2013'', organised by the Israeli broadcaster Israel Broadcasting Authority (IBA). The five show competition consisting of three semi-finals and a Second Chance round concluded with a final on 7 March 2013 that featured ten entries. "Rak Bishvilo" performed by Moran Mazor emerged as the winner after achieving the highest score following the combination of votes from a seven-member jury panel and a public vote. Moran Mazor
Moran Mazor ( he, מורן מזור; born 17 May 1991) is an Israeli singer. Mazor rose to fame as the winner of the first series of the Israeli reality show "Eyal Golan is Calling You" in 2011. In 2013, Mazor won the Israeli national selection '' Kdam Eurovision 2013''. She represented her country in the second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 in Malmö, Sweden, with the song " Rak bishvilo" (Only for him). Israel was present at the Eurovision Song Contest 1991, held in Rome, Italy. The Israeli broadcaster IBA continued to use a national final, Kdam Eurovision to select their entry. Before Eurovision Kdam Eurovision 1991 The final was held of 27 March 1991, and was hosted by Danny Roup and Shira Gera. 12 songs competed in the final held of 27 March 1991, where 7 regional juries chose the winner. There was an orchestra however, it was still performed in playback. After the 12 songs were performed, Daniel Pe'er hosted an awarding show of all Israeli Shows. Voting was done after the awarding. The winner was Duo Datz with the song "Kan". At Eurovision Duo Datz performed 15th on the night of the contest, following Norway and preceding Finland.
