Israel Elimelech (ישראל אלימלך; born June 22, 1960) is an Israeli former basketball player. He played the point guard position. He was named to the 1992 Israeli Basketball Premier League Quintet. Biography Elimelech was born in Holon, Israel. He is 1.88 meters tall. He played for Hapoel Holon, Hapoel Givatayim, Maccabi Tel Aviv, and Hapoel Eilat. Point Guard
The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the five Basketball positions, positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position. Point guards are expected to run the team's offense by controlling the ball and making sure that it gets to the right player at the right time. The 1995 FIBA European Championship, commonly called FIBA EuroBasket 1995, was the 29th FIBA EuroBasket regional basketball championship held by FIBA Europe, which also served as Europe qualifier for the 1996 Summer Olympics, giving a berth to each of the top four teams in the final standings.
