The 2014–15 Qatari League, also known as Qatari Stars League, was the 42nd edition of top-level football championship in Qatar. The season started on 21 August 2014. Lekhwiya, the defending champions, won their fourth league title with one matchday remaining by winning against Al-Ahli on 12 April 2015. Emir of Qatar Cup ( ar, كأس أمير قطر), also known as the Emir Cup, but changed to Amir Cup starting in 2019, is an association football tournament played every season by 18 first and second division teams. The most successful is Al Sadd who won the tournament 18 times. Emir of Qatar Cup was played for the first time in 1972, and was won by Al Ahli. History Al Ahli SC won the first ever Emir of Qatar Cup, defeating Al-Rayyan SC 6-1 under the leadership of Sudanese coach Mohammed Kheiri. The Sheikh Jassim Cup ( ar, كأس الشيخ جاسم) is an annual men's super cup competition in Qatari football held between the winner of the Qatar Stars League and the Emir of Qatar Cup.
