Isleworth Crown Court
Isleworth Crown Court is a Crown Court centre which deals with criminal cases at 36 Ridgeway Road, Isleworth, London. History The site was originally occupied by three large manor houses. However, following the World War II, Second World War, the Ministry of Pensions and National Insurance acquired the site and demolished the houses with the intention of commissioning a hostel for Paraplegia, paraplegics on the site. The main administration block was designed in the Neo-Georgian architecture, Neo-Georgian style, built in red brick and was officially opened as "Duchess of Gloucester House" by Princess Alice, Duchess of Gloucester in November 1949. The design involved a symmetrical main frontage of seven bays facing onto Ridgeway Road. The central bay featured a stone panel engraved with the Royal cypher of George VI, King George VI. Isleworth
Isleworth ( ) is a town located within the London Borough of Hounslow in West London, England. It lies immediately east of the town of Hounslow and west of the River Thames and its tributary the River Crane, London, River Crane. Isleworth's original area of settlement, alongside the Thames, is known as 'Old Isleworth'. The north-west corner of the town, bordering on Osterley to the north and Lampton to the west, is known as 'Spring Grove'. Isleworth's former River Thames, Thames frontage of approximately one mile, excluding that of the Syon Park estate, was reduced to little over half a mile in 1994 when a borough boundary realignment was effected in order to unite the district of St Margaret's wholly within London Borough of Richmond upon Thames.
