Islander is an American rock band from Greenville, South Carolina, founded in 2011. The group is currently signed with Better Noise Music. Their releases include numerous singles as well as two EPs, ''Side Effects of Youth'' (2012) and '' Pains.'' (2013), and three studio albums, '' Violence & Destruction'' (2014), ''Power Under Control'' (2016), and ''It's Not Easy Being Human'' (2022). The band is known for its uniquely dynamic and interactive live performances, as noted in various concert review publications. History The original members of Islander hail from Greenville, South Carolina, and have been playing together since 2006; they broke up for a few years and got together under the name Islander in 2011. Islander vocalist Mikey Carvajal is a participant in the non-profit outreach organization known as The Whosoevers. Brian Welch
Brian Philip Welch (born June 19, 1970), also known by his stage name Head, is an American musician. He is one of the guitarists and founding member of the nu metal band Korn and his solo project Love and Death, where he also provides vocals. Along with fellow Korn guitarist James "Munky" Shaffer, Welch helped develop Korn's distinctive sound (a mix of sirenlike shards of dissonant guitar that mimicked a turntablist's various effects and rumbling down-tuned riffing) that defined the nu metal aesthetic beginning in the mid-'90s. After becoming a born again Christian, Welch left the band in 2005 to focus on life as a father and to pursue his own solo career. Sonny Sandoval
Paul Joshua "Sonny" Sandoval (born May 16, 1974) is an American singer, rapper, and songwriter. He is best known as co-founder and the lead vocalist of metal band P.O.D. Biography Sandoval was born in San Diego, California. to a Chamorro-Hawaiian mother and a Mexican-Italian father. He grew up in the Otay Mesa neighborhood of South San Diego which was a Chicano barrio. When he was eighteen, Sandoval's mother was diagnosed with leukemia. During her illness, Sandoval was greatly influenced by his mother's faith as a devout Christian. He pursued a career as an MC and later joined the band Enoch, a group started by Wuv Bernardo, Gabe Portillo and Marcos Curiel, which, with the addition of Sandoval, later became P.O.D. Eleventyseven (stylized eleventyseven) is an American pop punk band from Greenville, South Carolina which was formed in 2002. They chose the name "Eleventyseven" because "it's the one that looked cool the next morning". The band was originally signed to Flicker Records and released two albums with the label that charted on Christian music charts. After an independent streak, the band signed on to Sony Japan before returning to an independent status a year later. They continued to tour, self produce and release music independently until disbanding in September 2014. Confide (band)
Confide was an American metalcore band from Anaheim, California, formed in 2004. They have released two EPs and three full-length albums. Although all the members of the group are openly Christian, they have not been marketed in the Christian market since the band is on a secular label. The band toured across the United States, following their debut album Shout the Truth, but also toured Europe and Asia with later albums. On October 4, 2010, Frontman Ross Kenyon announced that the band would be disbanding after their Japan tour. The band played their farewell show on November 7, 2010 in Pomona, CA. The band temporarily reformed in August 2012 to write and record their third full-length record titled "All is Calm" through Kickstarter.
