Isidro García (boxer)
Isidro García Ayala (born 15 May 1976) is a Mexican former professional boxer who competed from 1994 to 2010. He held the World Boxing Organization, WBO flyweight title from 1999 to 2000. Professional career In May 1998, Isidro won the World Boxing Organization, WBO NABO flyweight title by beating veteran Everardo Morales and ended up making four title defences. WBO flyweight title On December 18, 1999 Ayala won the World Boxing Organization, WBO Flyweight title by upsetting Puerto Rico's José López (boxer), José López over twelve rounds. Lopez at the time was scheduled to fight Alejandro Montiel, who withdrew hours before the fight. Ayala, a spectator on that night, agreed to fight in Montiel's stead and won, to much surprise, using borrowed equipment. He also defended his title successfully against Jose Rafael Sosa in Córdoba, Argentina. Featherweight is a weight class in the combat sports of boxing, kickboxing, mixed martial arts, and Greco-Roman wrestling. Fernando Montiel Martínez (born March 1, 1979) is a Mexican professional boxer. He is a multiple-time former world champion in three weight classes, having held the WBO flyweight title from 2001 to 2002, the WBO junior bantamweight title twice between 2002 and 2008, and the unified WBC and WBO bantamweight titles from 2010 to 2011. Early life Fernando Montiel is the youngest child of Manuel Montiel Sr., a former professional boxer and Fernando's current trainer.
