Isaac Go
George Isaac Yap Go (born June 7, 1996) is a Filipino-Chinese professional basketball player for the Terrafirma Dyip of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). He is a three-time UAAP champion with the Ateneo Blue Eagles. Early life and high school career Go wasn't interested in basketball at a young age. However, Gian, his brother, forced Isaac to play with him. In grade school, he had minimal playing time on his team. When he moved up to Xavier High School, he became good enough to represent the Philippines in international tournaments. In 2013, he participated in that year's edition of Adidas Nations. He was also picked for the NBTC All-Star High School Game in 2014, which featured the country's high school standouts. He eventually went to Ateneo for college. 2019 PBA D-League Aspirants' Cup
The 2019 PBA D-League Aspirants' Cup is the first conference of the 2019 Philippine Basketball Association Developmental League (PBA D-League) season. This will be the eighth Aspirants' Cup. Format Twenty teams were included in the tournament. The elimination round will be divided into two groups of ten teams each. Each team will play the teams in its group once. The top four teams per group qualify for the quarterfinals. The higher-seed team in the quarterfinals will have the twice-to-beat advantage against the lower-seeded team from the other group. The quarterfinals winners advance to the semifinals, which is a best-of-3 series. The semifinals winners advance to the Finals, which is a best-of-5 series. UAAP Season 81 Basketball Tournaments
The UAAP Season 81 basketball tournaments were the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) basketball tournaments for the 2018–19 school year. Former NU Bulldogs athletic director Junel Baculi replaced Atty. Rebo Saguisag as commissioner for the season's basketball tournaments on August 28, 2018. Former Vietnam Basketball Association commissioner Tonichi Pujante was also appointed as assistant commissioner. The senior men's and women's tournaments began on September 8, 2018 while the games of the juniors' division began on November 11. The Ateneo Blue Eagles and the NU Lady Bulldogs successfully defended their championships this season. Ateneo finished first after the elimination round, followed by Adamson. The De La Salle Green Archers (also known simply as the Green Archers) are the men's varsity teams representing De La Salle University in the Philippines. The women's varsity teams are generally referred to as the De La Salle Lady Archers. The school's varsity teams participate in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines, among others. FEU Tamaraws Men's Basketball
The FEU Tamaraws men's basketball is a collegiate basketball varsity team of the Far Eastern University. FEU currently holds the record of winning the most number of championships (20 titles) in the men's basketball division of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines. FEU also appeared in the Philippine Collegiate Championship finals four times, and was able to win back to back championships in 2004 and 2005. The team originally played in the NCAA from 1929 to 1936 and was one of its founding members. UST Growling Tigers
The UST Growling Tigers are the college athletic teams representing the University of Santo Tomas in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines. They hold the most UAAP Overall Championships with 44 Seniors' Overall Championships (out of 73 seasons) and 21 Juniors' Overall Championships (out of 26 seasons). Thomas Anthony "Tab" Baldwin (born 16 May 1958) is an American-New Zealand basketball coach who currently serves as the head of the Gilas Pilipinas Youth national basketball program and head coach for the Ateneo Blue Eagles of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP). Baldwin also served as a consultant of Philippine Basketball Association club team TNT Tropang Giga. Norman Aaron Black (born December 3, 1996) is a Filipino-American professional basketball player for the Meralco Bolts of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). He won the PBA Outstanding Rookie award in 2021. He is the son of former PBA Best Import Norman Black, who is also the head coach of Meralco. College career After playing in high school for the Ateneo Blue Eaglets, Black committed to the senior team of Ateneo. Ateneo Blue Eagles
The Ateneo Blue Eagles are the collegiate varsity teams of the Ateneo de Manila University that play in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP), the premiere collegiate league in the Philippines. The collegiate women's varsity basketball team is called the ''Lady Eagles''. The Ateneo collegiate men's varsity basketball team was not always called the Blue Eagles. Basketball was among the sports contested at the 2021 Southeast Asian Games in Vietnam. The basketball tournament in the games featured four events: traditional 5x5 basketball and 3x3 basketball, for both men and women.
