Isa Ibn Ja'far
‘Īsá ibn Ja‘far al-Ḥasanī ( ar, عيسى بن جعفر الحسني; died 994/5) was the second Musawid Emir of Mecca. He reigned in the late tenth century after his father Ja'far. Although the exact year he took office is not recorded, Ibn Khaldun writes that he was Emir in 366 AH (976/977). Emir (; ar, أمير ' ), sometimes transliterated amir, amier, or ameer, is a word of Arabic origin that can refer to a male monarch, aristocrat, holder of high-ranking military or political office, or other person possessing actual or ceremonial authority. The Ḥasanids ( ar, بنو حسن, Banū Ḥasan or , ) are the descendants of Ḥasan ibn ʿAlī, brother of Ḥusayn ibn ʿAlī and grandson of the Islamic prophet Muhammad. Abu'l-Futuh al-Hasan ibn Ja'far ( ar, أبو الفتوح الحسن بن جعفر) was the Sharif of Mecca for the Fatimid Caliphate from 994/5 until 1010. He was also briefly proclaimed as an anti-caliph in a rebellion against the Fatimid Caliphate in Palestine in 1010. Abu al-Futuh succeeded his brother Isa as Emir of Mecca in 384 AH (994/5 CE). Fatimid Caliphate
The Fatimid Caliphate was an Ismaili Shi'a caliphate extant from the tenth to the twelfth centuries AD. Ja'far Ibn Muhammad Al-Hasani
Ja'far ibn Muhammad ibn Husayn al-Hasani was Sharif of Mecca from the late 960s to the early 970s, and the first Emir belonging to the Musawid dynasty. He was a Hasanid, descendant of the ninth generation from Hasan ibn Ali. According to Ibn Khaldun, Ja'far came from Medina and conquered Mecca. He ordered the ''khutbah'' in the name of the Fatimid caliph al-Mu'izz after the latter conquered Egypt in 969. Although the date Ja'far conquered Mecca is not known, Ibn Hazm writes that it was during the reign of the Ikhshidids in Egypt. Al-Fasi narrows it down to the years 356-358 AH (967-969), since Ikhshidid influence in the Hejaz waned after the death of Abu al-Misk Kafur. However, he does acknowledge that this is contradicted by some chronicles which indicate that Ja'far had Kafur's name pronounced in the khutbah.
