Isa Mohammed
Wing Commander (retired) Isa Mohammed was appointed Military Governor of Gongola State, Nigeria from December 1987 to December 1989 during the military regime of General Ibrahim Babangida. As governor, acting on instructions from Babangida's second in command, Vice Admiral Augustus Aikhomu, he refused to confer the staff of office to the Chief of the Kilba of the Hong local government area in Gongola. When a court ruled in favor of two contenders for local government chairmanships on the grounds of electoral irregularities, Isa Mohammed refused to recognise the decision and swear them in as chairmen. He filed an injunction against the Nigerian Bar Association when they boycotted the courts in protest, and later filed a lawsuit against ''Punch'' for the way it had reported the incident. Jonah David Jang
Air Commodore Jonah David Jang ( Retired, Rtd) CON (born 13 March 1944) is a Nigerian statesman who was the Governor of Plateau State from 2007 to 2015. He had previously served as Military Governor of Benue State and Gongola State He ran successfully for re-election on 26 April 2011. In 2015, Jang ran and won Plateau North senate seat as his term as Governor of Plateau State drew to a close. In 2018 Jang declared his senate seat vacant and said it was time for the people of Plateau North to decide who would represent them at the red chamber. Abubakar Salihu
Air Commodore Abubakar Salihu (1949 – 9 January 2020) was a Nigerian Air Force officer who was appointed military governor of Gongola and Adamawa States. He also served in many senior level defence military roles. Early career Salihu was born in 1949 in Kamba, Kebbi State. He later attended Barewa College, Zaria, Kaduna State. Upon completing Barewa College, Salihu enlisted into the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA). He commissioned as a Regular Officer in NDA's Combatant Course. He completed the Aircraft Technical Officer's Course in West Germany, and studied at the Royal Military Training Centre in Chichester, England. Ibrahim Babangida
Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (born 17 August, 1941) is a retired Nigerian Army general and politician. He served as military president of Nigeria from 1985 until his resignation in 1993. He rose through the ranks to serve from 1984 to 1985 as Chief of Army Staff; going on to orchestrate his seizure of power in a coup d'état against Muhammadu Buhari. Augustus Akhabue Aikhomu (20 October 1939 – 17 August 2011) was an Admiral in the Nigerian Navy, who served as the ''de facto'' Vice President of Nigeria under military head of state General Ibrahim Babangida from 1986 to 1993. Kilba
The Kilba are an ethnic group in the Hong local government area of Adamawa State (formerly Gongola State) in Nigeria. History In the past, Höba lived in large clan-based mountain communities. These mountain communities were Pella, Gwaja, Hong, Kulinyi, Garaha, Bangshika, Miljili, Gaya-jaba, Gaya-maki, Gaya-skalmi, Gaya-gou, Gaya Fa'a, Gaya Jabba, Ndlang, Hyama, Kinking, Motaku, Kwapor, Za and Zivi, all in the present Hong Local Government. The Höba clan-based mountain communities were each ruled by a "Töl köra ma" (King of the mountain community). "Köra ma" means "mountain top". Töl is pronounced as "ttle", which means King.
