Irungbam Surkumar Singh
Irungbam Surkumar Singh (born 21 March 1983) is an Indian footballer who played for India national football team graduated out of the prestigious Tata Football Academy in 2000 and was signed on by East Bengal FC and now he plays for United Sikkim F.C. in the 2nd Division of the I-League. He is an Indian footballer who plays as a defender for India.After impressing at under-16 level while playing for Manipur under-16 despite being only 13, Surkumar was hired by Tata Football Academy. He spent four years in TFA and used to play as a center back. He also made his international debut in 2001 in the historic 1-0 win over UAE in a 2002 World Cup qualifier. AFC Challenge Cup
The AFC Challenge Cup was an international football competition for Asian Football Confederation (AFC) member countries that was categorized as "emerging countries" in the "Vision Asia" programme. "Vision Asia", created by former AFC president, Mohammed Bin Hammam, is the AFC's plan for a continent wide programme to raise the standards of Asian football at all levels. The AFC Challenge Cup, which reflected the philosophy of Vision Asia, was created for teams to experience playing in a continental competition with the possibility to win an AFC trophy and to potentially discover new talent. The AIFF Player of the Year Awards are the annual football awards presented to the best footballers in India by the All India Football Federation (AIFF). The AIFF first announced the award for Men's Player of the Year in 1992; I. M. Vijayan was the inaugural winner. Sunil Chhetri has won the award a record seven times, more than any other player. No winner was announced in 1998 and 1999. It was re-introduced in 2000. The AIFF Women's Player of the Year Award was introduced in 2001. Oinam Bembem Devi was its first recipient.
