Ironworks (record Label)
Ironworks was an independent record label created and owned by the actor Kiefer Sutherland, and his long-time friend and fellow musician, Jude Cole. The studio's first signed band, whom it is also known for, is Rocco DeLuca's band, Rocco DeLuca and the Burden. Ironworks Studio is housed in an old ironworks foundry in the Silver Lake area of Los Angeles and managed by Mark Somgynari. On May 26, 2015, Ironworks released ''Out of the Wasteland'' by Lifehouse. An independent record label (or indie label) is a record label that operates without the funding or distribution of major record labels; they are a type of small- to medium-sized enterprise, or SME. The labels and artists are often represented by trade associations in their country or region, which in turn are represented by the international trade body, the Worldwide Independent Network (WIN). Jude Cole
Jude Anthony Cole (born June 18, 1960) is an American singer, songwriter, manager, and record producer. After signing to Reprise Records, Cole's solo career began with his eponymous debut studio album in 1987, which was followed up 4 subsequent releases until 2000. From then, he outsourced his talent onto managing, producing, and co-writing for the band Lifehouse, whom Cole took under his wing. He is the co-founder of the Ironworks music label alongside actor Kiefer Sutherland. Career After spending two years as guitarist and backing vocalist for Moon Martin and The Ravens (Capitol Records), Cole joined UK-based band The Records for the '' Crashes'' album in 1980. Lifehouse is an American rock music, rock band from Los Angeles comprising Jason Wade (lead vocals, rhythm guitar, piano), Rick Woolstenhulme Jr. (drums, percussion), Bryce Soderberg (bass, vocals), and Steve Stout (lead guitar). Ronald Eldon Sexsmith (born January 8, 1964) is a Canadian singer-songwriter from St. Catharines, Ontario. He was the songwriter of the year at the 2005 Juno Awards. He began releasing recordings of his own material in 1985 at age 21, and has since recorded seventeen albums. He was the subject of a 2010 documentary called '' Love Shines''. Early life Sexsmith grew up in St. Catharines and started his own band when he was 14 years old. Career Sexsmith was seventeen when he started playing at a bar, the Lion's Tavern, in his hometown. Billy Boy on Poison was an American rock and roll band from Los Angeles, California. Andrew Leahy of AllMusic suggested the band was " ke the glittery offspring of the New York Dolls", and they "create a debauched, glammy, gender-bending style of rock & roll". The band formed in 2005 by members Davis LeDuke, Ryan Wallengren, Dashiell LeFrancis and Jess Calcaterra. The band was managed by Blue Cave Entertainment Group, LLC (BCEG). Honeyhoney
Honeyhoney (stylized as honeyhoney) is an Americana group based in Los Angeles, California, United States. History The band was formed in 2006 by musician Benjamin Jaffe and musician/model/actress Suzanne Santo. The two met at a costume party and signed a record deal a year later. They originally performed under the name Zanzibar Lewis and were under that name when they signed with the now-defunct Ironworks record label.
