Iron Chef Showdown
''Iron Chef Showdown'' is an American cooking show based on Fuji Television's ''Iron Chef'', and is the fourth American adaptation of the series, following ''Iron Chef USA'' and ''Iron Chef America'' and '' Iron Chef Gauntlet''. The show is produced by Food Network, which also carried a dubbed version of the original ''Iron Chef''. Like the original Japanese program, the program is considered to be a culinary game show. In each episode, two new challenger chefs first compete against one another with the winner competing against one of the resident "Iron Chefs" in a one-hour cooking competition based on a secret ingredient or ingredients, and sometimes theme. The show is presented as a re-imagined take on ''Iron Chef America''. The Chairman is once again portrayed by actor and martial artist Mark Dacascos, who was introduced as the nephew of the original Japanese chairman Takeshi Kaga on ''Iron Chef America''. John Besh
John Besh (born May 14, 1968) is an American chef, TV personality, philanthropist, restaurateur and author. He is known for his efforts in preserving the culinary heritage of New Orleans cuisine. Background Besh was born in Meridian, Mississippi, and raised in Slidell. He has been married to Jenifer Berrigan Besh since 1991; together they have four children. The family are practicing Catholics and parishioners of the St. Luke the Evangelist Church in Slidell, Louisiana. Besh is a former US Marine. Masaharu Morimoto
is a Japanese chef, best known as an Iron Chef on the Japanese TV cooking show ''Iron Chef'' and its spinoff '' Iron Chef America''. He is also known for his unique style of presenting food. Takeshi Kaga
, real name , is a well-known stage and movie actor in Japan who is best known internationally for his portrayal of Chairman Kaga in the Japanese television show ''Iron Chef'' produced by Fuji TV. Biography Kaga was born on October 12, 1950, in the city of Kanazawa in Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan.
