Dato 'Sri Dr. Hj. Irmohizam Ibrahim JP (Jawi: ارم الهيثم إبراهيم ) is a Malaysian politician and corporate figure. Born in Kampung Kuantan, Kuala Selangor, he was Member of Parliament for Kuala Selangor from 2013 to 2018. Currently he is the group executive director of the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTCKL) in Kuala Lumpur. In 2020, he made history when the World Trade Centers Association (WTCA) named Dato' Sri Dr. Hj. Irmohizam Ibrahim as the chairman of the Asia Pacific Member Advisory Council (Conferences & Exhibitions). He plays a chairing role, setting the agenda of the meeting and setting the direction for all World Trade Centers throughout Asia Pacific. He is the first Malaysian to succeed in holding a seat in the WTCA. Malay Titles
The Malay language has a complex system of styles, titles and honorifics which are used extensively in Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and the southern Philippines. Brunei, Malaysia, Singapore and several provinces in Indonesia regularly award honorary and life titles. What follows in this article is specific to the Malaysian system. 2018 Malaysian General Election
The 2018 Malaysian General Election, formally known as the 14th Malaysian General Election (), was held on Wednesday, 9 May 2018, for members of the 14th Parliament of Malaysia. At stake were all 222 seats in the Dewan Rakyat (the legislature's lower house) and 505 seats in 12 out of the 13 state legislative assemblies of Malaysia. The 13th Parliament of Malaysia was dissolved by Prime Minister Najib Razak on 7 April 2018. The Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS; ms, Parti Islam Se-Malaysia; ms, ڤرتي إسلام سمليسيا, label=Jawi alphabet, Jawi, script=arab, italic=unset) is an Islamist political party in Malaysia. 2013 Malaysian General Election
General elections were held in Malaysia on Sunday, 5 May 2013 to elect the members of the 13th Parliament. Voting took place in all 222 parliamentary constituencies, each electing one MP to the Dewan Rakyat, the dominant house of Parliament. State elections also took place in 505 state constituencies in 12 of the 13 states (excluding Sarawak) on the same day. The elections were the first since Najib Razak became Prime Minister in 2009. The incumbent right-wing Barisan Nasional led by Najib won a second term against the opposition centre-left Pakatan Rakyat led by Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim, after Barisan Nasional formed a majority government at a federal level. The Election Commission of Malaysia ( ms, Suruhanjaya Pilihan Raya Malaysia), abbreviated SPR or EC, is a commission set up for ensuring fair and equitable operations in undertaking the elections in Malaysia. Its establishment is mandated by executive order of the former Prime Minister of Malaysia, Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad. The agency falls under the purview of the Prime Minister's Department. A general election was held on Sunday, 21 March 2004 for members of the 11th Parliament of Malaysia.
