Irlanda Mora
Irlanda Mora (9 February 1939 – 18 November 2010) was a Colombian actress who was born in Ibagué. She was best known for acting in Un sueño de amor (A Dream of Love), ''Los caciques'' (The Caciques) and ''La montaña del diablo'' (The Devil's Mountain). Career Irlanda debuted in the 1952 film ''Aquellos ojos verdes'' (Those green eyes) as a younger version of the main character, Silvia Falcón. She continued to act in films until the 1990s, but also started acting in Mexican soap operas such as ''María la del Barrio ''María la del Barrio'' ( Lit: ''Maria from the neighborhood''/English title: ''Humble Maria'') is a Mexican telenovela produced by Angelli Nesma Medina for Televisa in 1995. The series is a remake of '' Los ricos también lloran''. ''María ...'' and as Aunt Paz in ''María Mercedes''. After retiring from television and film in 2005, she died in November 2010. Ibagué () (referred to as San Bonifacio de Ibagué del Valle de las Lanzas during the Spanish period) is the capital of Tolima, one of the 32 departments that make up the Republic of Colombia. The city is located in the center of the country, on the central mountain range of the Colombian Andes, near Nevado del Tolima. Fernando "Papi" Cortés (October 4, 1909 – 1979) was a Puerto Rican film actor, writer and director. He was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, but he spent most of his adult life in Mexico City, where he died. On 1932, while in New York City, Fernando Cortés married Puerto Rican childhood friend María del Pilar Cordero, who adopted the stage name of Mapy Cortés. The couple soon traveled to Spain with a Cuban theatrical troupe. They worked on the Spanish stage, radio and film until the outbreak of the Civil War in 1936. Miguel Morayta (15 August 1907 – 19 June 2013) was a Spanish film director and screenwriter. He directed 74 films between 1944 and 1978. At the outbreak of the Spanish Civil War, Morayta was a Spanish artillery officer, who joined the Republican side.
