Irina Fetisova (volleyball)
Irina Andreyevna Fetisova (russian: Ирина Андреевна Фетисова, born 7 September 1994) is a Russian volleyball player. She plays for the Russia women's national volleyball team and Fenerbahce Opet at club level. Career Fetisova played for the Russia women's national volleyball team at junior and senior level and was part of the teams at the 2014 Montreux Volley Masters, the FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix (in 2014, 2015, 2016), the 2015 Women's European Volleyball Championship, the 2014 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship in Italy, the 2015 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Cup in Japan, and the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. At club level, she played for Leningradka and Zarechie Odintsovo before moving to Dinamo Moscow in 2015. Personal life Fetisova is the daughter of former professional basketball player Andrei Fetisov who was playing for a club in Valladolid when she was born. Valladolid () is a Municipalities of Spain, municipality in Spain and the primary seat of government and de facto capital of the Autonomous communities of Spain, autonomous community of Castile and León. 2014 FIVB World Grand Prix
The 2014 FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix was the 22nd edition of the annual women's international volleyball tournament played by 28 countries from 25 July to 24 August 2014. The Group 1 final round was held in Tokyo, Japan. The Brazilian star team won the tournament for the tenth time, the second consecutive victory. 2013 FIVB Women's Junior World Championship
The 2013 Women's Junior Volleyball World Championship was held in Czech Republic, for ten days between from 21 to 30 June 2013. This was the first edition of the tournament that features 20 teams. __TOC__ Qualification process Competition Formula The 20 teams will be divided into four pools of five teams each and will play a round-robin tournament. The bottom-ranked team of each pool will play classification matches for 17th-20th place in a round-robin system. The other 16 teams progress to the Eight Finals which consists of a playoff (1st of Pool A against 4th of Pool B etc.). The winners of the playoff matches will advance to the quarterfinals, semifinals and finals to be classified from 1st to 8th while the losers of playoff match will play classification matches, with a similar quarterfinals, semifinals and finals system, to be classified from 9th to 16th. Andrei Sergeyevich Fetisov (alternate spelling: Andrey) (russian: Андрей Сергеевич Фетисов; born 19 January 1972) is a Russian former professional basketball player. Professional career Fetisov was a second round pick of the NBA's Boston Celtics, in the 1994 NBA draft, at which time he was playing for the Spanish club Forum Valladolid. After the draft, his draft rights were traded to the Milwaukee Bucks. He was a member of the FIBA European Selection team, in 1995. National team career Fetisov was a member of the senior Russian national basketball team. With Russia, he won a silver medal at the 1993 EuroBasket, a silver medal at the 1994 FIBA World Championship, and a bronze medal at the 1997 EuroBasket. The women's tournament in volleyball at the 2016 Summer Olympics was the 14th edition of the event at an Olympic Games, organised by the world's governing body, the FIVB, in conjunction with the IOC. It was held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil from 6 to 20 August 2016. China won their third gold by defeating Serbia in the final. The United States won bronze by winning against the Netherlands. 2015 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Cup
The 2015 FIVB Women's World Cup was held from August 22 to September 6 in Japan. The tournament was a qualification process for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The top two ranked teams, China and Serbia, qualified for the Olympics, and joined Brazil as they had already secured a berth as the host country.
