Iranian Railway Industry
The Iranian railway equipment industry started its activity with Goods wagon, wagon production. It was formed by the inauguration of train-manufacturing company Wagon Pars in 1974. The railway is being developed with government of Iran, Iranian-government backing and forms a part of the Iranian Economic Reform Plan. The Iran Khodro Rail Transport Industries Company (IRICO) was established in 2003 to produce Passenger car (rail), passenger cars, and the Mapna Locomotive Engineering and Manufacturing Company was established in 2006 to manufacture locomotives. In July 2012, a Mapna Locomotive Engineering and Manufacturing Company production plant was officially inaugurated. The plant is projected to manufacture 120 locomotives with a maximum speed of each year. A wagon or waggon is a heavy four-wheeled vehicle pulled by draught animals or on occasion by humans, used for transporting Good (economics), goods, commodities, agricultural materials, supplies and sometimes people. Mobarakeh Steel Company
Mobarakeh Steel Company (MSC, fa, فولاد مبارکه, Foolad Mobarakeh) is an state owned Iranian steel company, located 65 km south west of Esfahan, near the city of Mobarakeh, Esfahan Province, Iran. It is the largest steel maker of MENA (Middle East & Northern Africa) region, and one of the largest industrial complexes operating in Iran. It was commissioned after the Iranian Revolution in 1979 and initiated operations during 1993. It underwent major revamping during year 2000, and is scheduled for a second and third revamping in 2009–2010, bringing the total steel output to 7,200,000 metric tons per year. According to a report by ''The Economist'', Iran has been ranked 39th for producing $23 billion of industrial products in 2008. From 2008 to 2009 Iran has leaped to 28th place from 69th place in annual industrial production growth rate. The government of Iran has plans for the establishment of 50–60 industrial parks by the end of the fifth Five-Year Socioeconomic Development Plan by 2015. Iran Heavy Diesel Manufacturing Company (DESA), is an Iranian company which is a manufacturer of heavy diesel engines from 200 to 3500 kW for railway, marine and power generation purposes.
