Iowa Senate, District 41
The 41st District of the Iowa Senate is located in southeastern Iowa, and is currently composed of Davis, Jefferson, Van Buren, and Wapello Counties. Current elected officials Adrian Dickey is the senator currently representing the 41st District. Mariannette Miller-Meeks
Mariannette Jane Miller-Meeks (born September 6, 1955) is an American physician and politician serving as the U.S. representative from Iowa's 2nd congressional district since 2021. A member of the Republican Party, Miller-Meeks served as Iowa state senator for the 41st district from 2019 to 2021. Her district includes most of Iowa's southeastern quadrant, including Davenport, Bettendorf, Burlington, Iowa City, and Miller-Meeks's hometown of Ottumwa. Miller-Meeks ran three unsuccessful campaigns for the U.S. House against Dave Loebsack. When Loebsack retired in 2020, she ran again and defeated Rita Hart by a margin of six votes. Roby Smith (born 1977) is an American businessman and politician from Iowa. He is currently serving as Treasurer of Iowa since 2023. He previously was elected to the Iowa Senate in 2010, and represented District 47. He headed the State Government Committee. David Hartsuch was the Iowa State Senator from the 41st District. He served in the Iowa Senate from 2007 to 2011. Hartsuch is an emergency department physician. He has a bachelor's degree from Northern Illinois University and a medical degree from the University of Minnesota. Maggie Tinsman
Maggie Tinsman (born July 14, 1936) is an American politician who served as a Republican member of the Iowa State Senate from 1989 to 2007. Tinsman is an alumnus of the University of Colorado and the University of Iowa. Before her election to the state senate she served for 10 years as a Scott County Supervisor. Nancy Boettger
Nancy Jane Boettger (born May 1, 1943) was the Iowa State Senator from the 9th District. A Republican, she served in the Iowa Senate since 1995. She received a B.A. in Sociology from Iowa State University in 1965 and a B.A. from Buena Vista College in Education in 1982. Boettger served on several committees in the Iowa Senate: the Agriculture committee; the Appropriations committee; the Human Resources committee; the Judiciary committee; the Rules and Administration committee; and the Education committee, where she was the ranking member. Mary Kramer
Mary E. Kramer (born June 14, 1935) is an American former politician. A member of the Republican Party, she served as an Iowa State Senator from 1990 to 2003.
