Ion Vélez
Ion Vélez Martínez (born 17 February 1985) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays for Peña Sport FC as a forward. Club career Vélez was born in Tafalla, Navarre. Bought by Athletic Bilbao from lowly Peña Sport FC in 2003, he spent time with the club's B and feeder teams, subsequently being loaned to neighbours Barakaldo CF in Segunda División B. He made his debut for the main squad of the latter on 26 August 2007, in the goalless La Liga home draw against CA Osasuna. After spending the second part of the 2007–08 season on loan to Segunda División's Hércules CF, where he appeared significantly – after his debut with the Alicante side, he managed to play, in the same season, in the three major levels of Spanish football – Vélez was definitely promoted to Athletic's first team for 2008–09. Iñigo Vélez
Iñigo Vélez de Mendizábal Fernández de Garaialde (born 15 March 1982), known as Iñigo or Vélez, is a Spanish retired footballer who played as a forward, currently a manager. Playing career Born in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Álava, Vélez began his career in the lower leagues, playing for local CD Aurrerá de Vitoria and RCD Espanyol's B team. In the summer of 2004 he signed for SD Eibar of the Segunda División, scoring four goals in 40 games in his second season as they were eventually relegated. Íñigo competed in La Liga with Real Murcia in 2007–08, in another relegation-ending campaign. Substitute (association Football)
In association football, a substitute is a player who is brought on to the pitch during a match in exchange for an existing player. Substitutions are generally made to replace a player who has become tired or injured, or who is performing poorly, or for tactical reasons (such as bringing a striker on in place of a defender). A player who has been substituted during a match takes no further part in the game, in games played under the standard International Football Association Board Laws of the Game. The 2010–11 La Liga season (known as the ''Liga BBVA'' for sponsorship reasons) was the 80th since its establishment. The campaign began on 28 August 2010 and ended on 21 May 2011.
