Ion Vasilenco
Vasile Vasilache (January 20, 1926 in Paşcani – March 13, 1977 in Chişinău) was a literary critic from Moldova. He graduated from Moldova State University in 1951 and got his PhD in 1956. He was one of the most influential literary critic in Moldovan SSR. Emilian Bukov
Emilian Bucov or Bukov (; in Kiliya, Odessa Oblast, Ukraine – 17 October 1984) was a Soviet and Moldavian writer and poet, recognized with the State Prize of the Moldavian SSR and honorary title of People's Writer of the Moldavian SSR (1982). He studied at the Bucharest University and took part in underground communist movement. Bukov was awarded the Hero of Socialist Labour in 1979 for his work, the Order of Lenin medal twice and the Order of the Red Banner of Labour, twice. George Meniuc (20 May 1918, Chişinău – 8 February 1987, Chişinău) was a writer from Moldova. Biography George Meniuc was born on 20 May 1918, in Chişinău. Andrei Lupan (15 February 1912, Mihuleni - 24 August 1992, Chişinău) was a writer, politician, and chairman of Moldovan Writers' Union (1946–1955; 1958–1961). Biography Studied in the agriculture school from Cucuruzeni, Viticulture School from Chişinău and Agriculture Institute from Chişinău. During student time participate to the communist movement in Bessarabia. Chairman of the Writers Union of Moldovan SSR (1946–1962), secretary in the Board of USSR Union of Writers (1954–1971). The first appearance is the poem Biography in the journal " Adevărul Literar şi Artistic". Before the war has published only sometimes poetry and essays in revues or papers. Constantin G.
