Ion Solonenco
Brigadier General Ion Solonenco (18 January 193512 August 2022) was a senior officer in the Moldovan Ground Forces. In 1996, he held the position of Deputy Minister of National Security. He was then appointed advisor to the general director of the Information and Security Service of the Republic of Moldova. On 2 February 1999, Solonenco was appointed co-chairman of the Joint Control Commission (JCC). The JCC was created in 1992 immediately after the suspension of the armed conflict between Moldova and Transnistria, it is made up of delegations from Moldova, Transnistria and Russia and the representatives of Ukraine, and the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) participate in the work of the JCC as observers. Order Of The Republic (Moldova)
The Order of the Republic ( ro, Ordinul Republicii) is Moldova's highest order. It is awarded by the President of Moldova for exceptional merits in all fields which benefit Moldova and humanity as a whole. The order was established in July 1992 and its collar and badge are made from silver. A recipient cannot receive the award twice. The next (lower) award is the Order of Ștefan cel Mare. Moldova ( , ; ), officially the Republic of Moldova ( ro, Republica Moldova), is a Landlocked country, landlocked country in Eastern Europe. The Order of Work Glory (also: Order of Work Merit, Romanian: ''Ordinul Gloria Muncii'') is a Moldovan official order conferred for outstanding achievements in an individual's field of work, esteemed public activity during their career, and great contributions to the development of the Moldovan cultural, scientific, socio-economic, sporting and public spheres. Vladimir Voronin
Vladimir Voronin (; born 25 May 1941) is a Soviet and Moldovan politician. He was the third president of Moldova from 2001 until 2009 and has been the First Secretary of the Party of Communists of the Republic of Moldova (PCRM) since 1994. He was Europe's first democratically elected communist party head of state after the dissolution of the Eastern Bloc. Family and education Vladimir Nicolaevici Voronin was born in the village of Corjova, located that time in the Romanian-administrated Transnistria Governorate. Despite his Russified name, his ethnic origins are Moldovan. Transnistria
Transnistria, officially the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic (PMR), is an unrecognised breakaway state that is internationally recognised as a part of Moldova. Transnistria controls most of the narrow strip of land between the Dniester river and the Moldovan–Ukrainian border, as well as some land on the other side of the river's bank.
