Ion (DC Comics)
Ion is a fictional character, a DC Comics superhero. Created by writer Judd Winick and artist Dale Eaglesham for ''Green Lantern'' (vol. 3) #142, Ion was devised as the new superhero identity for ''Green Lantern'' protagonist Kyle Rayner. It was later revealed to be able to form mutualism with a host, bestowing its power to a host willingly. This followed a similar retcon as Parallax, originally the new supervillain alias of Hal Jordan, which was revealed to be a parasitic embodiment of fear in the 2004–2005 miniseries '' Green Lantern: Rebirth''. Ion Creature
An ion () is an atom or molecule with a net electrical charge. The charge of an electron is considered to be negative by convention and this charge is equal and opposite to the charge of a proton, which is considered to be positive by convention. The net charge of an ion is not zero because its total number of electrons is unequal to its total number of protons. A cation is a positively charged ion with fewer electrons than protons while an anion is a negatively charged ion with more electrons than protons. It debuted on May 9, 2007, directly following the conclusion of the last issue of ''52 (comics), 52''. The Torchbearer
The Torchbearer ( cs, Světlonoš) is a 2005 Czech animated short film written and directed by Václav Švankmajer. It is described as an allegorical story about rise to power. Švankmajer worked on the film for 5 years in his family studio Athanor. He mixed a medieval legend with fantasy genre and also used some techniques known from videogames. The film was influenced by films of Jan Švankmajer, the father of Václav Švankmajer. The Torchbearer has won multiple awards. Ron Marz (born November 17, 1965) is an American comic book writer, known for his work on titles such as ''Batman/Aliens'', ''DC vs. Marvel'', ''Green Lantern'', ''Silver Surfer'', and ''Witchblade''. Career Marz is known for his work on ''Silver Surfer'' and ''Green Lantern,'' as well as the ''DC vs. Marvel'' crossover and ''Batman/Aliens''. Ganthet is a character in the DC Comics universe, who first appeared in 1992 in Larry Niven and John Byrne (comics), John Byrne’s graphic novel ''Green Lantern: Ganthet's Tale'' (). Alexandra DeWitt is a fictional character in the . She is the girlfriend of Kyle Rayner before he receives the Green Lantern power ring from Ganthet. She is best known, however, as the murder victim whose manner of disposal led writer Gail Simone to coin the phrase "Women in Refrigerators".
