''The Invisibles'' is a comic book ongoing series, series published by the Vertigo Comics, Vertigo imprint of DC Comics from 1994 to 2000. It was created and scripted by Scotland, Scottish writer Grant Morrison, and drawn by various artists throughout its publication. King Mob (comics)
King Mob is a fictional character, a revolutionary created by Grant Morrison for ''The Invisibles''. Character development The character's name is directly inspired by the Situationist group King Mob, as well as Morrison himself (as a part of a sigil to improve his life.) He is also Gideon Stargrave, one of Morrison's early creations. King Mob is generally considered to be a fictional surrogate of Morrison in the ''Invisibles'' comics. Some elements of his personality, especially his Gideon persona, are inspired by J. G. Ballard's "The Day of Forever" and by Michael Moorcock's Jerry Cornelius. Lord Fanny is a fictional character in the comic book series ''The Invisibles'', a series published by DC Comics as a part of that company's Vertigo Comics, Vertigo imprint (trade name), imprint. She is a shaman and a trans woman. History Fanny was assigned male at birth and given the name Hilde Morales in Brazil in 1972. This angered her grandmother who was the most feared witch in the city and wanted her lineage continued. Since men could not become witches, Hilde's grandmother raised the child as a girl. Hilde's mother was murdered in 1979, and shortly afterwards Hilde underwent magical initiation in Teotihuacan at which it was revealed her patron goddess was Tlazōlteōtl, deity of filth and lust. By 1990 Hilde had become a prostitute in Brazil, a career which ended when she was brutally raped at a party. Todd Klein
Todd Klein (born January 28, 1951) is an American comic book letterer, logo designer, and occasional writer, primarily for DC Comics. Biography Early career Todd Klein broke into comics in the summer of 1977, hired by DC Comics as a staff production worker. This job entailed pasting together text pages (such as letter columns), putting logos, display lettering, and type on covers, and doing art and lettering corrections on comics pages. Other staffers included colorists Bob LeRose and Anthony Tollin, writer Bob Rozakis, inker Steve Mitchell, and letterer John Workman. Over the next months and years, Klein tried his hand at all those things, but found lettering suited him best. A sigil () is a type of symbol used in magic. The term has usually referred to a pictorial signature of a deity or spirit. In modern usage, especially in the context of chaos magic, sigil refers to a symbolic representation of the practitioner's desired outcome.
