Krzysztof Zanussi
Krzysztof Pius Zanussi (born 17 June 1939) is a Polish film and theatre director, producer and screenwriter. He is a professor of European film at the European Graduate School in Saas-Fee, Switzerland where he conducts a summer workshop. He is also a professor at the Krzysztof Kieślowski Film School of the University of Silesia in Katowice. He is the recipient of the Golden Lion at the 1984 Venice Film Festival for ''A Year of the Quiet Sun'', the Jury Prize at the 1980 Cannes Film Festival for ''The Constant Factor'' as well as two Grands Prix at the 1977 and 2000 Gdynia Film Festival for ''Camouflage'' and ''Life as a Fatal Sexually Transmitted Disease'' respectively. Krystyna Janda
Krystyna Jolanta Janda (born 18 December 1952) is a Polish film and theater actress best known internationally for playing leading roles in several films by Polish director Andrzej Wajda, including ''Man of Marble'' (''Człowiek z marmuru'', 1976) and ''Man of Iron'' (''Człowiek z żelaza'', 1981). In 1981, Janda played in the Academy Award-winning movie ''Mephisto''. In 1982, she played the lead character in Ryszard Bugajski's film '' Przesłuchanie (Interrogation)'', which first premiered seven years later in 1989, following the collapse of communism. Despite the film's late release, she garnered international acclaim for her performance, including winning Best Actress at the Cannes Film Festival and Polish Film Festival in 1990. Wojciech Kilar (; 17 July 1932 – 29 December 2013) was a Polish classical and film music composer. One of his greatest successes came with his score to Francis Ford Coppola's '' Bram Stoker's Dracula'' in 1992, which received the ASCAP Award and the nomination for the Saturn Award for Best Music. In 2003, he won the César Award for Best Film Music written for '' The Pianist'', for which he also received a BAFTA nomination. Artur Żmijewski (born 10 April 1966) is a Polish film and stage actor. Biography Born in Radzymin, Żmijewski graduated from the M. Konopnickiej High School in Legionowo, and then in 1990 from the Theatre Academy in Warsaw. In 1989–1991 he performed with the Contemporary Theatre (Teatr Współczesny), in 1991–1992 at the Ateneum Theatre and Theatre Scene Presentations (Teatr Scena Prezentacje), and in 1998–2010 he appeared at the National Theatre (all in Warsaw). Since 2007 he has been a national Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF. Since 2009 he has been an honorary citizen of Legionowo.
