Into (album)
''Into'' (''Enthusiasm'') is the fourth studio album by the Finnish rock band The Rasmus (after ''Peep'', '' Playboys'' and ''Hell of a Tester''), and the first studio album to be released under the name "The Rasmus". It was originally released on October 29, 2001 by Playground Music. It is the band's first studio album with their new drummer Aki Hakala, who replaced Janne Heiskanen in 1999. The (international only) singles taken from it were "F-F-F-Falling", "Chill", " Madness" and "Heartbreaker/Days". All of these were released in 2001 apart from ''Heartbreaker/Days'', which was released in 2002. For this fact and the name's change, some fans consider this album the first of "The Rasmus". The album has sold double platinum in Finland and was the first album by The Rasmus to be released in other European countries such as France and Spain. Playboys (1997 Album)
''Playboys'' is the second studio album by Finnish rock band The Rasmus (formerly known as "Rasmus") which was released on 29 August 1997 on Warner Music Finland. It was certified Gold in Finland, and the single "Blue" also went Gold when it was released in May the same year. The album was not as popular outside their homeland Finland. Besides the band members, there were many additional musicians (see below) that appeared on ''Playboys''. This made the album sound very different from regular rock. With the singer Lauri Ylönen's rap vocals, it became more like rapcore. Lauri Ylönen
Lauri Johannes Ylönen (born 23 April 1979) is a Finnish singer-songwriter, best known as the co-founder and frontman of the Finland, Finnish alternative rock musical ensemble, band The Rasmus. Biography The Rasmus When he and Heinonen started at Suutarila high school in the early 1990s, they met Pauli Rantasalmi and later Janne Heiskanen. Ylönen initiated the project of The Rasmus (then called just "Rasmus") in 1994, along with Eero Heinonen (bass guitar, bass) Pauli Rantasalmi (guitar), and Jarno Lahti (Drum kit, drums), with Lahti subsequently being replaced by Heiskanen. First, they called themselves Trashmosh, then Anttila, and at last Rasmus. They played their very first show before the winter break in school, 1994.
