''Intervention'' (russian: Интервенция, Interventsiya) is a 1968 Russian adventure film directed by Gennadi Poloka. The film was banned in the Soviet Union for nearly 20 years and was released only in 1987. Gennadi Poloka
Gennadi Ivanovich Poloka (russian: Генна́дий Ива́нович Поло́ка; 15 July 1930, Kuybyshev – 5 December 2014, Moscow) was a Soviet and Russian film director, screenwriter, producer and actor. People's Artist of Russia (1998). IV Class Order "For Merit to the Fatherland" (2011). Early years Gennadi Poloka was born in Kuybyshev (now Samara). His family name comes from his Slovak great-grandfather who left Austria-Hungary for the Russian Empire just before the start of the World War I, saving from ethnic cleansing of Slavs. Poloka commented on his ethnicity: ''I come from a multinational family: there were Poles, Germans, Ukrainians... I have a strange surname. Every time I arrive in some country, there's always a question at the press-conference about my ethnicity. But I have a straight answer: 'I am Russian'. Vladimir Tatosov
Vladimir Mikhailovich Tatosov (russian: Влади́мир Миха́йлович Тато́сов; 10 May 1926 – 24 December 2021) was a Russian stage, television, voice and film actor. He had an honorary title People's Artist of the RSFSR (1991). Biography Tatosov was born on 10 May 1926, in Moscow into an Armenian family. He spent his childhood in Baku. In 1946, he graduated from the drama school at the Sverdlovsk Drama Theater. In 1947, he was admitted to the troupe of the Saint Petersburg Comedy Theatre, after a while he moved to the Lenin's Komsomol Theatre. In 1963 he became an artist of the Gorky Bolshoi Drama Theater. In 1971 he moved to the Lenfilm film studio. He performed a lot in the variety, one year worked together with Arkady Raikin. In 2005, Tatosov published his autobiographical book ''And I Want to Fly''. A few days before his death, Tatosov was admitted to a hospital in Saint Petersburg with cancer. Boris Leskin
Boris Leskin (5 January 1923 – 21 February 2020) was a Soviet and American film and theater actor. Biography Leskin was born on 5 January 1923. In 1937 his father was arrested and executed. During World War II Leskin was employed as a sapper at the front and was wounded. He was awarded the Order of the Red Star and medals. In 1952 he graduated from the Ostrovsky Leningrad Theatre Institute (Leonid Makaryev course). From 1951 to 1980 he worked as an actor in the Tovstonogov Bolshoi Drama Theater. In 1980 he began his career in the United States as a theater actor in New York City. He was included on the nomination committee for Academy Awards. In 2011 director Eduard Staroselsky made a documentary about him: ''Bob Has Been Removed. Minesweeper Bolshoi Drama'' (with Sergei Yursky). Leskin died on 21 February 2020. Philippe Henri Joseph d'Anselme (Voreppe, 30 August 1864 – 26 March 1936) was a French general during World War I and the Southern Russia Intervention. Marlen Martynovich Khutsiev (russian: Марле́н Марты́нович Хуци́ев; 4 October 1925 – 19 March 2019) was a Georgian-born Soviet and Russian filmmaker best known for his cult films from the 1960s, which include '' I Am Twenty'' and '' July Rain''. He was named a People's Artist of the USSR in 1986. Olga Aleksandrovna Aroseva (russian: О́льга Алекса́ндровна Аро́сева; 21 December 1925 – 13 October 2013) was a Soviet and Russian actress whose career spanned more than 65 years. Aroseva was better known for her work in theater and for her voice work in animated television shows.
