Interstate 395 (I-395) is an List of auxiliary Interstate Highways, auxiliary Interstate Highway in the U.S. states of Connecticut and Massachusetts; it is maintained by the Connecticut Department of Transportation (ConnDOT) and the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT). Spanning nearly on a south–north axis, it is the only spur route of Interstate 95 in Connecticut. The section between its splits from I-95 in East Lyme, Connecticut, East Lyme and Route 695 in Plainfield, Connecticut, Plainfield is a component highway of the Connecticut Turnpike. Interstate 95 (I-95) is an Interstate highway running along the East Coast of the United States from Miami, Florida, north to the Canadian border in Houlton, Maine. In the state of Delaware, the route runs for across the Wilmington area in northern New Castle County from the Maryland state line near Newark northeast to the Pennsylvania state line in Claymont. I-95 is the only primary (2-digit) Interstate highway that enters Delaware, although it also has two auxiliary routes within the state (I-295 and I-495). Between the Maryland state line and Newport, I-95 follows the Delaware Turnpike (John F. Kennedy Memorial Highway), a toll road with a mainline toll plaza near the state line. Interstate 395 (I-395) is a auxiliary Interstate Highway in Bangor, Maine. The western terminus of the route is at a cloverleaf interchange with I-95 near downtown Bangor, where I-395 continues west as U.S. Route 2 (US 2) and State Route 100 (SR 100). The eastern terminus is at US 1A in Brewer. Route description I-395 begins as an extension of Hammond Street at an at-grade intersection with US 2 and SR 100 on the south side of Bangor International Airport. Known as Cal Ripken Way, the highway runs from I-95 north to Howard Street and Camden Street in Downtown Baltimore, where it provides access to the Inner Harbor and the Baltimore Convention Center.
