Interstate 170 (Maryland)
Interstate 170 (I-170) was the designation for a freeway in Baltimore, Maryland, that currently carries U.S. Route 40 (US 40). The highway was originally envisioned as the eastern terminus of the Maryland portion of I-70, a major transcontinental route, and was later envisioned as a direct link between the Interstate and the western edge of Downtown Baltimore. However, with the loss of I-70 in Baltimore, the route was deleted as an Interstate. Disapproval of the remaining depressed highway by Baltimore citizens, as well as environmental groups, has earned it the common nicknames of "The Highway to Nowhere" and "The Ditch"; in addition, other names include the "Westside Freeway" and the "Franklin–Mulberry Expressway", both referring to its location in the city. The Red Line is a proposed east–west mass transit light rail line for Baltimore, Maryland. The project had been granted federal approval to enter the preliminary engineering phase and the Maryland Transit Administration had spent roughly $300 million in planning, design and land acquisition. The project was projected to cost roughly $1.6 billion, $900 million of which was guaranteed funding by the federal government. Hilton Parkway
Wabash Avenue is a six-lane boulevard in northwest Baltimore, Maryland, that runs from Patterson Avenue to Hilton Street, mostly through the Arlington community, crossing over Northern Parkway and Cold Spring Lane along the way. The road starts near the Reisterstown Plaza Metro Subway Station and continues to just past the West Coldspring Metro Subway Station, where it narrows and becomes a one-way pair with Dorithan Road, which ends several blocks later at Hilton Street. Inner Harbor
The Inner Harbor is a historic seaport, tourist attraction, and landmark of the city of Baltimore, Maryland.
