Interpol EP
''Interpol'' is the third extended play (EP) by American rock band Interpol. It was released on June 4, 2002, and was the band's first release on the Matador Records label. Background "PDA" is one of the oldest songs by Interpol and appeared on many of their early demos and EPs (including their first demo tape, the '' Fukd ID #3'' EP and the ''Precipitate'' EP). The same versions of "PDA" and "NYC" were later included on the band's first full-length, ''Turn On the Bright Lights'', while "Specialist" was released as a bonus track on the album's 2005 reissue. Release Between the releases of the ''Interpol'' EP and ''Turn On the Bright Lights'', Interpol released "PDA" as a promo single along with a music video directed by Christopher Mills. The EP was originally made available for sale for $3.98 on Matador's website. Interpol (band)
Interpol is an American Rock music, rock band from Manhattan, New York. Formed in 1997, their original line-up consisted of Paul Banks (American musician), Paul Banks (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Daniel Kessler (guitarist), Daniel Kessler (lead guitar, backing vocals), Carlos Dengler (bass guitar, keyboards), and Greg Drudy (drums). Drudy left the band in 2000 and was replaced by Sam Fogarino. Dengler left to pursue other projects in 2010, with Banks taking on the additional role of bassist instead of hiring a new one. Christopher Mills is a Canadian director, editor, animator and cinematographer. He has directed music videos for bands such as Modest Mouse, Interpol, Broken Social Scene, Blue Rodeo, Metric, The Joy Formidable, Senses Fail and Breaking Benjamin. The bass guitar, electric bass or simply bass (), is the lowest-pitched member of the string family. Sam Fogarino
Samuel Joseph Fogarino (born August 9, 1968) is the drummer of the band Interpol. He has played in bands such as the Holy Terrors, Gus, the Wahoos, Napoleon Solo, the Ton-ups and the Last Night. Biography Fogarino began to play the drums at the age of 13. In the early 1990s, Fogarino played with the South Florida act the Holy Terrors as part of a music scene that also produced Marilyn Manson, Jack Off Jill, Saigon Kick and the Mavericks. Manson asked him to join his band at one point, but Fogarino turned him down. In 1996, Fogarino left south Florida to move to Gainesville (where he played in a band called Gus, replacing Jason Lederman), then finally settled in New York City in 1997. Daniel Alexander Kessler (born 25 September 1974) is the lead guitarist and backing vocalist for the New York City-based band Interpol. He was raised in the United States, unlike his brother, former ''Q'' magazine editior Ted Kessler. Biography Interpol Kessler was born in London, England. It was his desire to play in a band which made him approach Carlos Dengler, with whom he attended a history class in New York University.
