The International Union of Food, Agricultural, Hotel, Restaurant, Catering, Tobacco and Allied Workers' Associations (IUF) is a global union federation of trade unions with members in a variety of industries, many of which relate to food processing. Australasian Meat Industry Employees' Union
The Australasian Meat Industry Employees Union (also known as the Meatworkers Union) is an Australian trade union representing workers in the meat industry including in abattoirs, butchers, and smallgoods manufacturers. Structure The AMIEU has branches representing workers each State and Territory of Australia. Branch officials are democratically elected by the members every four years. The union also has a Federal Council, which represents the union nationally and is the supreme decision making body of the union. The Council is composed of elected delegates from each branch, who meet every two years to determine policy for the union and elect the Federal Secretary and President. In between the biannual meetings of the Council the union is governed by a Federal Executive made up of the secretaries of each branch as well as the Federal Secretary and President. Teamsters Canada is a Canadian trade union affiliated with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters. Although the Teamsters have been present in Canada since 1903, Teamsters Canada was only established in 1976. The organization represents 125,000 workers in all industries. It is the largest transportation union in the country, and the largest private sector union under federal jurisdiction. The Bakery, Confectionery, Tobacco Workers and Grain Millers' International Union (BCTGM) is a labor union in the United States and Canada primarily representing workers in the food processing industry. The union was established in 1886 as the Journeyman Bakers Union. The Association of Employees, Technicians and Managers ( nl, Bond van Bedienden, Technici en Kaderleden, BBTK; french: Syndicat des Employés, Techniciens et Cadres, SETCa) is a trade union representing white collar staff in Belgium. The union was founded in 1920, as the General Union of Employees, Warehousemen, Technicians and Travelling Salesmen of Belgium, with about 12,000 members. It ceased to operate during World War II, but was re-established in 1945, under its current name, as an affiliate of the new General Federation of Belgian Labour (ABVV). The General Union ( nl, Algemene Centrale, AC; french: La Centrale Générale, CG) is a general union representing workers in Belgium. The union was founded on 1 January 1921, when the Building and Wood Workers' Union merged with the Union of Factory Workers. It was originally known as the General Union of Building, Furnishing and Other Industries. Several other unions merged over the next few years: the National Federation of Glass Workers in 1929, the Hairdressers' Union in 1930, and the Paviours' and Assistants' Union of Belgium in 1936.
