International Khatme Nabuwat Movement, Bangladesh
International Majlis-e Tahaffuz-e-Khatm-e Nobuwat Bangladesh is a right wing Islamist organization in Bangladesh that seeks to ban Ahmadiyya faith in the country. History International Khatme Nabuwat Movement, Bangladesh traces its origin to the Khatm-e-Nabuwwat movement founded in India in the 1860s. It was founded to challenge the beliefs of Ahmadiyya community, a sect of Islam that does believe Muhammad is the last prophet and was founded in India by Mirza Ghulam Ahmad. Khatme Nabuwat means “finality of prophethood” it refers to the Islamic belief that Muhammad is the last messenger of god. Attacks against the Ahmadiyya community began with during First Khaleda Zia cabinet and continued well into the First Sheikh Hasina Cabinet. They escalated during the Second Khaleda Zia cabinet. Kamal Hossain
Kamal Hossain (born 20 April 1937) is a founding leader, lawyer and politician of Bangladesh. He is known as the "father of the Bangladeshi constitution" and regarded as an icon of secular democracy in the Indian subcontinent. Hossain currently heads his own law firm in Dhaka, serves as president of the Gano Forum political party, and advocates for democratic reform. His autobiography ''Bangladesh: Quest for Freedom and Justice'' is an important book on Bangladeshi history, particularly regarding the creation of Bangladesh in 1971. Hossain studied in the United States at the University of Notre Dame and in the United Kingdom at the University of Oxford. He was called to the bar of England and Wales in Lincoln's Inn in 1959. Allama Delwar Hossain Sayeedi is a Bangladeshi Islamic scholar, former politician and lecturer, who served as a Member of Parliament representing the Pirojpur-1, Barisal, constituency during 1996–2006.
