The World Bowling Writers (WBW) International Bowling Hall of Fame was established in 1993 and is located in the International Bowling Museum and Hall of Fame, on the International Bowling Campus in Arlington, Texas. History The International Bowling Museum and Hall of Fame was located at 11 Stadium Plaza, St. Louis, Missouri, USA, and shared the same building with the St. Louis Cardinals Hall of Fame Museum, until November 8, 2008. It moved to Arlington and reopened in early 2010. In 2012, the WBW was merged with the International Bowling Media Association. After the merger, the WBW Hall of Fame inductees became part of the IBMA Luby Hall of Fame. Osku Palermaa
Osku Palermaa (born 18 November 1983 in Espoo, Finland) is a Finnish Ten-pin bowler now living in Partille, Sweden. He is a competitor on the European Bowling Tour, World Bowling Tour, and PBA Tour. Today Palermaa has 18 professional bowling titles to his name. He has won 13 EBT titles, and 5 PBA Tour titles. He was the EBT ranking champion for three consecutive years from 2007 to 2009, he also won the rankings 2011. Palermaa was also joint runner up in the 2005 EBT rankings, and runner up in the 2006 EBT rankings. Osku made his television debut at the 2004 U.S Open, making him the first two-handed bowler to compete in a televised PBA Tour event. Shannon Pluhowsky is an American left-handed ten-pin bowler who competes in the Professional Women's Bowling Association (PWBA) and internationally. Pluhowsky is a 21-time member of Team USA (2001–2021), and a former four-time member of Junior Team USA (2000–2003). Pluhowsky has six professional championships, including major wins at the 2006 USBC Queens in Reno, Nevada, the 2014 BPAA Women's All-Star in Rockford, Illinois, and the 2021 PWBA Tour Championship in Reno, Nevada. Early life and college career Pluhowsky was born on August 8, 1982 in Dayton, Ohio. Before her successful professional career she had a successful amateur and college career. Mika Juhani Koivuniemi (born 6 April 1967) is a Finnish bowling coach and semi-retired professional ten-pin bowler. He competed on the Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) tour in the United States, and won bowling titles in 21 different countries during his career. He is a two-time PBA Player of the Year (2003–04 and 2010–11 seasons), one of only three players born outside the USA (with Amleto Monacelli and Jason Belmonte) to win that award. Koivuniemi is the second international player (after Monacelli) and first European ever elected to the PBA Hall of Fame; he was inducted in 2019. Clara Juliana Guerrero Londoño (born April 22, 1982, in Armenia, Colombia) is a right-handed Colombian ten-pin bowler who has won Colombian championships and multiple international championships. Bill Hoffman (born 1971), also widely referred to as ''The Joker'', of Columbus, Ohio, United States, is a Ten-pin bowler. Hoffman, 29, finished 17th in his Bowling World Cup debut in Lisbon, Portugal, in 200 Hoffman qualified for his second Bowling World Cup in 2003 in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, where he rolled the only 300 in the tournament on his way to earning the top seed for the knockout elimination rounds. Tore Torgersen
Tore Torgersen (born 10 September 1968) was one of the world's leading ten-pin bowlers. He is born in Stavanger, Norway but lives in Sweden. Tore started to bowl in 1980. Tore has bowled in the prestigious Weber Cup on three occasions and won two of those events. Tore is a member of the bowling team BK Skrufscha Sweden, / Sweden and Trondheim BK / Norway. Torgersen has stated that the highlight of his career was becoming world champion in UAE. He also won the Bowling World Cup in Hermosillo, Mexico in 1994. Lynda Barnes (née Norry, born October 7, 1967) is one of the world's leading females tenpin bowlers. She is a former member of the PWBA (Professional Women's Bowling Association). Bowling as an amateur, Lynda won the 1998 USBC Queens championship, then known as the WIBC Queens. In 1999, Lynda married Chris Barnes, a leading bowler on the Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) tour. The couple's twin sons, Troy and Ryan, were born in May 2002. Lynda is a former member of Team USA. In 2005, along with Paul Moor of England, she was named the 2005 World Bowling Writers Bowler of the Year.
