Ra is an American alternative metal band from Los Angeles, taking their name from the Ra, Egyptian sun god, Ra. The band was formed in 1996, and took off around 2002, when their song "Do You Call My Name" from their album ''From One'' was released. Their music was described as "exotic yet familiar, heavy yet funky, direct yet sophisticated, sensual yet soulful, unrelenting yet cathartic." Daniel "Sahaj" Ticotin (born April 5, 1969) is an American musician, vocalist, guitarist, record producer, and lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist of the alternative metal bands Raand Meytal. Biography Sahaj was born to a Puerto Rican mother and a Russian-Jewish father, the brother of motion picture and television actress, Rachel Ticotin. During a pilgrimage to India in 1992, he studied meditation and was given the name "Sahaj". He currently lives in Woodland Hills, California, where he produces and composes for various artists. Hard Rock
Hard rock or heavy rock is a loosely defined subgenre of rock music typified by aggressive vocals and distorted electric guitars. Hard rock began in the mid-1960s with the garage, psychedelic and blues rock movements. Starset is an American rock band from Columbus, Ohio, formed by Dustin Bates in 2013. They released their debut album, '' Transmissions'', in 2014 and their second album, '' Vessels'', on January 20, 2017. Lajon Witherspoon (born October 3, 1972) is an American singer and songwriter who is the lead vocalist of Atlanta-based rock band Sevendust. Members from bands such as Staind, Seether, Alter Bridge, and Diecast have listed Witherspoon and Sevendust as musical influences. In March 2008, Witherspoon was recognized in ''Hit Parader'' as one of the "Top 100 Metal Vocalists of All Time." Sevendust is an American rock band from Atlanta, Georgia, formed in 1994 by bassist Vince Hornsby, drummer Morgan Rose and rhythm guitarist John Connolly.
