Intelsat 21 is a communications satellite manufactured by Boeing Defense, Space & Security, Boeing Space Systems (BSS) for the Intelsat, Intelsat Corporation, based on the Boeing 702, BSS-702MP satellite bus. It was launched on 19 August 2012 at 06:54:59 Coordinated Universal Time, UTC by a Zenit-3SL launch vehicle from a mobile platform in the equatorial Pacific Ocean. and replaces the Intelsat 9 satellite at 58° West Longitude. Intelsat 20 is a geostationary communications satellite which is operated by Intelsat. It was constructed by Space Systems/Loral, and is based on the LS-1300 satellite bus. It was launched on 2 August 2012, and replaces the Intelsat 7 and Intelsat 10 spacecraft at 68.5° East longitude. It is fully operational since September 2012.
