Chao Fa Krom Khun Inthra Phithak ( th, เจ้าฟ้ากรมขุนอินทรพิทักษ์, ?–1782), born Chui (), was a prince of the Thonburi Kingdom. He was the son of Taksin and his spouse, Princess Batboricha. He was appointed the Front Palace or Maha Uparaj, the title of the heir. He had military ability and was sent to Cambodia to fight against the Vietnamese by Taksin. In 1780, the Cambodian regent Talaha (Mu) decided to switch allegiances to Vietnam. As a result, Taksin decided to annex Cambodia. A Thai army of 20,000 under Chao Phraya Chakri (later king Rama I) and Chao Phraya Surasi moved into Cambodia, to crown Inthraphithak the new king of Cambodia. Front Palace
Krom Phra Ratchawang Bowon Sathan Mongkhon , colloquially known as the Front Palace ( th, วังหน้า, ), was the title of the ''uparaja'' of Siam, variously translated as "viceroy", "vice king" or "Lord/Prince of the Front Palace", as the titleholder resided in the physical residence of the same name. The office of Front Palace was considered second only to the king and regarded as the heir presumptive. The name, with its dual meaning, originated in the Ayutthaya period, and the holder later gained significant powers during the Rattanakosin period. Front Palace occupants were usually a son or brother of the reigning monarch. The office existed until the death of the last occupant, Prince Vichaichan, in 1885. Trần Trọng Kim (Chữ Nôm: ; 1883 – December 2, 1953), courtesy name Lệ Thần, was a Vietnamese scholar and politician who served as the Prime Minister of the short-lived Empire of Vietnam, a state established with the support of Imperial Japan in 1945 after Japan had seized direct control of Vietnam from the Vichy French colonial forces during the Second World War. He was an uncle of Bùi Diễm. Early years Kim was born in Nghi Xuân, Hà Tĩnh Province, in northern central Vietnam in 1883. At the time, French Indochina had just been formed after the colonization of Vietnam, and Hà Tĩnh was part of the central region, which had become a French protectorate under the name of Annam. Chulalongkorn University (CU, th, จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย, ), nicknamed Chula ( th, จุฬาฯ), is a public and autonomous research university in Bangkok, Thailand. The Thai nobility was a social class comprising titled officials (''khunnang'', th, ขุนนาง) in the service of the monarchy. They formed part of a hierarchical social system which developed from the time of the Ayutthaya Kingdom (14th century – 1767), through the Thonburi (1767–1782) and early Rattanakosin (1782 onwards) periods. Reforms by King Chulalongkorn ended the system around the end of the 19th century, though noble titles continued to be granted until the abolition of absolute monarchy in 1932.
