Insomnia (Hed PE Album)
''Insomnia'' is the sixth studio album by American rock band (həd) p.e.. It was released on July 17, 2007 via Suburban Noize Records. Production was handled by the band's lead singer Jahred. It features guest appearances from Big B, Kottonmouth Kings, Roscoe and Tech N9NE. The album peaked at number 138 on the ''Billboard'' 200 and number 16 on the Independent Albums in the United States. The album's lead single, "Suffa", became one of the most requested tracks at Sirius Satellite Radio's Hard Attack, while the song's music video was voted one of the Top 10 of 2007 on MTV's ''Headbangers Ball''. Hed PE has cited thrash metal bands such as Slayer as an influence on the musical style of ''Insomnia''. Hed PE
Hed PE (also known as (hed) Planet Earth and stylized as (həd) p.e. or as (Hed)pe or (Hed)PE) or (həd) Planetary Evolution, is an American rock band from Huntington Beach, California. Formed in 1994, the band is known for its eclectic genre-crossing style, predominately in the fusion of gangsta rap and punk rock it has termed "G-punk", but also for its reggae-fused music. After releasing three albums on Jive Records, Hed PE left the label to record independently. Hed PE was signed with Suburban Noize Records from 2006 until 2010. Since 2014, the band has been signed with Pavement Music. Since 2006, the band has become known for its involvement in the 9/11 Truth movement, referencing it in many of their song lyrics and concerts, as well as the concept of the album ''New World Orphans''. Devin Lebsack
Devin Lebsack is an American drummer based in Los Angeles, California. Career Lebsack moved to Los Angeles after graduating with a Bachelor's in Professional Music from Berklee College of Music in 2001. As a co-founding member of the progressive rock band Velveteen, he recorded their first record "Brothers in Arms", but left shortly afterwards to begin work as a freelance musician. His first break came with the band (həd) p.e. in 2006. He joined the band for the Back 2 Base X world tour, and also recorded Insomnia, their second release on Suburban Noize Records. During his tenure with (həd) p.e., he also appeared on ''Make It a Double'' for label mates Mower, as well as OPM's Golden State of Mind. Aaron Dontez Yates (born November 8, 1971), better known by his stage name Tech N9ne (pronounced "tech nine"), is an American rapper. In 1999, he and business partner Travis O'Guin founded the record label Strange Music. He has sold over two million albums and has had his music featured in film, television, and video games. In 2009, he won the Left Field Woodie award at the mtvU Woodie Awards. "For What It's Worth (Stop, Hey What's That Sound)" (often referred to as simply "For What It's Worth") is a song written by Stephen Stills.
