"Insieme a te non ci sto più" (; i.e. "I will no longer be with you.") is an Italian pop song written by Paolo Conte, Michele Virano and Vito Pallavicini and performed by Caterina Caselli. Years later Conte revealed that he and Pallavicini auditioned many singers before giving the song to Caselli, as she was the only one who could deliver a strong enough performance. The song peaked at the third place on the Italian hit parade. It was covered by several artists, including Ornella Vanoni, Franco Battiato, Rita Pavone, Giusy Ferreri, Gianna Nannini, Elisa, Claudio Baglioni, Alessandro Haber, Avion Travel. It was also included in the soundtrack of a number of films, notably Nanni Moretti's ''Bianca'' and ''The Son's Room'' and Giovanni Veronesi's '' Manual of Love''. Caterina Caselli
Caterina Caselli (born 10 April 1946) is an Italian record producer, music executive, singer and bass player. Biography Caselli was born in Modena but grew up in Sassuolo. She started her music career by playing bass in local clubs. In 1966 she debuted in the Sanremo Festival with " Nessuno mi può giudicare", a song discarded by Adriano Celentano, scoring a notable success. It sold over one million copies, and was awarded a gold disc. Caselli also had considerable success with an Italian cover of the David McWilliams song "Days of Pearly Spencer" called "Il volto della vita". Her first album, ''Casco d'oro'' (Golden Bob), was titled after a nickname given to her by the music press. In 1966 she scored another domestic hit with the song "Perdono”.
