Inside Detroit
''Inside Detroit'' is a 1956 American film noir crime film directed by Fred F. Sears and starring Dennis O'Keefe, Pat O'Brien and Tina Carver. ''Inside Detroit'' is centered on corruption within the United Auto Workers union and is loosely adapted from the true tale of the Reuther brothers. The film's sets were designed by the art director Paul Palmentola. Plot Blair Vickers (O'Keefe) is head of the UAW union whose brother is killed during the bombing of the union headquarters. Gus Linden (O'Brien), a gangster determined to gain control of the UAW, is the man behind the bombing. Mark Damon (born April 22, 1933) is an American film actor and Film producer, producer. He became noted for roles in films like Roger Corman's House of Usher (film), ''House of Usher'', before moving to Italy and becoming a notable Western (genre), Western star and member of the 1960s Dolce vita, La, Dolce Vita set of actors and actresses in Rome. After starring in over 50 films in the United States and Europe, he quit acting and reinvented himself as a film producer and pioneer of the foreign sales business in the 1970s, and became one of Hollywood's most prolific producers. Film Noir
Film noir (; ) is a cinematic term used primarily to describe stylish Hollywood crime dramas, particularly those that emphasize cynical attitudes and motivations. The 1940s and 1950s are generally regarded as the "classic period" of American ''film noir''. Film noir of this era is associated with a low-key, black-and-white visual style that has roots in German Expressionist cinematography. Many of the prototypical stories and much of the attitude of classic noir derive from the hardboiled school of crime fiction that emerged in the United States during the Great Depression. Katherine Warren
Katherine Warren (July 12, 1905 – July 17, 1965) was an American film and television actress. She is best known for her roles in the 1949 film ''All the King's Men'', the 1951 film '' The Prowler'', and the 1954 film ''The Caine Mutiny''. Career Prior to her career in films and TV, she was a stage actress on and off Broadway, in Summer Stock, and many theatrical venues throughout the US. Her signature role was as Roxanne in Cyrano de Bergerac opposite Walter Hampden in the title role. She married Vernon (aka Clark) Tharp Chesney in 1938. The couple had a son, David, in 1947. In 1948, due to her husband's illness, the family moved from New York City to Los Angeles where she began her movie and TV career. Clark Chesney died on January 4, 1951, at the City of Hope in Duarte, California. Guy Kingsford
Guy Duncan Kingsford (September 30, 1911 – November 9, 1986) was an English-born American film, television, and radio actor. Biography Born in Redhill, Surrey in the United Kingdom, he was the son of British actor Walter Kingsford who moved with his wife to New York City. In 1938 he was in the theatrical production Once is Enough. He was in the US Army during World War II. He performed in a vaudeville-style variety show at Camp Sibert alongside other enlisted industry professionals. According to Sidney Skolsky, when Kingsford was traveling in Berlin, Germany that same year as part of a touring company, the Reich Film Chamber tried to recruit him to act in a propaganda film. In the role, he would have portrayed a "so-called "patriot" who would turn over United States military secrets to the German High Command." Paul Bryar (born Gabriel Paul Barrere; February 21, 1910 – August 30, 1985) was an American actor. In a career spanning nearly half a century, he appeared in numerous films and television series. Career Bryar appeared in nearly 220 films between 1938 and 1983, although most of his roles were small in size. He made his film debut in the Harold Lloyd comedy ''Professor Beware''.
