Green League
The Green League (VIHR, fi, Vihreä liitto , sv, Gröna förbundet), shortened to the Greens ( fi, Vihreät, sv, De Gröna), is a green political party in Finland. Ideologically, the Green League is positioned on the centre-left of the political spectrum. It is a reformist party and it is supportive of feminism, animal rights and green liberal ideas. Originally split on whether Finland should join the European Union, the Green League is pro-European and was the first Finnish party in favor of the federalisation of the European Union. The Green League is among the large political parties in Finland. The Greens hold twenty of the 200 seats in the Finnish Parliament and three of Finland's 14 European Parliament seats. Uusimaa is a Constituencies of Finland, Finnish constituency represented in Parliament of Finland, eduskunta. It covers the administrative region of Uusimaa, excluding the capital city of Helsinki, which forms Helsinki (constituency), its own constituency. Uusimaa elects 35 members to eduskunta, which makes it the largest electoral district in the country. Even though the city proper is not part of the constituency, much of the area falls under the Greater Helsinki metropolitan area. Espoo (, ; sv, Esbo) is a city and municipality in the region of Uusimaa in the Republic of Finland. It is located on the northern shore of the Gulf of Finland, bordering the cities of Helsinki, Vantaa, Kirkkonummi, Vihti and Nurmijärvi while surrounding the enclaved town of Kauniainen.
