Inglewood Cobras
Inglewood Cobras was a professional basketball team of the American Basketball Association (known as the ABA). It was formed in 2005, and based in Inglewood, California. It played in the league's Spencer Haywood Division. Inglewood Cobras folded after playing five games in the ABA league's 2005-2006 season. Ownership and roster One of the high profile investors in the team was well-known American rapper The Game. The 6-foot-4 listed by his real name Jayceon Taylor also played for team as a shooting guard and small forward. The Game was a standout basketball player at Compton High School, alongside future NBA player Baron Davis. Inglewood is a city in southwestern Los Angeles County, California, in the Los Angeles metropolitan area. As of the 2020 U.S. Census, the city had a population of 107,762. Jayceon Terrell Taylor (born November 29, 1979), better known by his stage name the Game or simply Game, is an American rapper. Born in Compton, California, he initially released a series of mixtapes under the wing of fellow West Coast rapper JT the Bigga Figga. After releasing his debut independent album '' Untold Story'' in 2004, he was eventually discovered by record producer Dr. Dre and signed to his Aftermath Records label imprint. Compton High School is a high school in Compton, California, United States, part of the Compton Unified School District. History The school opened in 1896 as Compton Union High School and was later re-established as Compton Senior High School in the 1950s after Compton College separated from the high school district and opened its new campus at 1111 East Artesia Boulevard in 1953. Baron Walter Louis Davis (born April 13, 1979) is an American former professional basketball player who is a studio analyst for the ''NBA on TNT''.
