''Ingili'' ( dv, އިނގިލި, translation: ''Finger'') is a 2013 Maldivian experimental suspense thriller film directed by Ravee Farooq. Produced by Ravee Farooq, Hussain Munawwar and Mahdi Ahmed, the film stars Ismail Rasheed and Abdulla Muaz in pivotal roles. The film was released on 16 May 2013. Plot MOOSA (Ismail Rasheed) is a fisherman who anchors at an island he is not familiar with when his boat hits a storm at sea. He finds a remote hut on land where he decides to stay there for the rest of the night until the storm passes away. But soon his inner fears surface when he starts to realize that he is all by himself at an unknown place. As he spends roaming around the hut unable to sleep, he feels relieved when a stranger named AMMADEY (Abdulla Muaz) appears. Surprisingly, they become fast friends but not before they play couple of pranks on each other. Mahdi Ahmed
Mahdi Ahmed (born 17 October 1971) is a Maldivian screenwriter, producer and film director. He made his career debut with critically acclaimed film '' Amaanaaiy'' (1998), which fetched him several awards including a Gaumee Film Award for Best Director and Best Screenplay. From 1999 to 2002, he mainly worked as a director and screen writer in the Inter Office Teledrama Competition, which resulted him receiving six awards for the five films submitted. Afterwards, he was mainly recognized for his collaboration with Abdul Faththaah for the romantic disaster film, '' Hureemey Inthizaarugaa'' (2005) and fifty episodes' television series ''Hinithun Velaashey Kalaa'' (2006). This was followed by Ahmed Nimal-directed romantic film ''Vaaloabi Engeynama'' (2006) for which he was bestowed with another Gaumee Film Award for Best Screenplay. Ravee Farooq
Ravee Farooq is a Maldivian actor, director, editor and choreographer. Career Farooq made his film debut with Abdul Faththaah-directed romantic disaster film, '' Hureemey Inthizaarugaa'' (2005) cast along with Mariyam Zuhura, Waleedha Waleed, Ibrahim Jihad and Neena Saleem. The film, heavily relied on the effect of the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake on the Maldives, received favorable reviews from critics though it failed to perform financially. Farooq played the disrespectful husband who chose wealth above his family. His performance won a Miadhu Crystal Award for the Best Male Newcomer. In April 2006, Ahmed Nimal's revenge thriller '' Hiyani'' was released which featured Farooq as the kidnapper who constantly flirts with a rich married woman. Hussain Munawwar
Hussain Munawwar (born 5 February 1998), commonly known as Kuda Foolhu is a Maldivian film director, cinematographer, producer and actor. Career In 2006, Munawwar starred as the character Kudafoolhu, a manipulative devil under the strict instructions of his master, in the first installment of Yoosuf Shafeeu-directed short film series, '' Vasvaas'' which proved to be a breakthrough for him with his humorous and child-friendly act. He reprised the role in several of his other ventures including ''Kudafoolhuge Vasvaas'' (2006) and ''Kudafoolhaai Paree Dhahtha'' (2007). His performance in playing the character fetched him a Maldives Film Award for Best Actor in short films category. Ismail Rasheed (born 20 April 1976) is a Maldivians, Maldivian film actor and director. He has established a career in Maldivian films and is the recipient of several awards, including a Gaumee Film Awards, Gaumee Film Award. Abdulla Muaz
Abdulla Muaz is a Maldivian film actor, editor and directors and officers and Career Muaz made a brief appearance in Yoosuf Shafeeu directed horror film '' Edhathuru'' (2004) which revolves around eight friends who go on a picnic to a haunted uninhabited island and their battle for survival. The film garnered critical appreciation specially for its sound effect and was a commercial success. Moomin Fuad and Ali Shifau's critically appreciated crime film '' Heylaa'' (2006) featured Muaz as a drug user. The film narrates the story of a fourteen years old ambitious boy who finds himself unknowingly being involved in smuggling of a revolver. Ahmed Sinan
Ahmed Sinan (born 19 March 1990) is a Maldivian director, graphic designer, cinematographer and editor. Career Ahmed Sinan made his career debut with Dark Rain Entertainment's production, '' Happy Birthday'' (2009) by working as the title animator and creating visual effects. He was then offered to make title animations and visual effects for films produced under several studios. Sinan's most recognized work came in 2013, Ali Shifau-directed horror film ''Fathis Handhuvaruge Feshun 3D'' which serves as a prequel to ''Fathis Handhuvaru'' (1997) starring Reeko Moosa Manik and Niuma Mohamed in lead roles. The film was marketed as being the first 3D release for a Maldivian film and the first release derived from spin-off.
