Ingemar Erlandsson
Bo Ingemar Erlandsson (16 November 1957 – 9 August 2022) was a Swedish footballer who played as a defender. He represented Malmö FF between 1976 and 1987. A full international between 1978 and 1985, he won 69 caps and scored two goals for the Sweden national team and represented his country at the 1978 FIFA World Cup. Club career Erlandsson played for Malmö FF in Allsvenskan. He became Swedish champion with the club in 1977 and 1986, and was a part of the team in the European Champions Cup final in 1979 against Nottingham Forest. International career He was a member of the Sweden national team, and was capped 69 times between 1978 and 1985. He was in the squad for the 1978 FIFA World Cup. Post-playing career After retiring, he was a member of the board of directors of Malmö FF. Death Erlandsson died on 9 August 2022, at the age of 64. Nya Parken
Nya Parken, formerly known as Norrköpings Idrottspark, also known as PlatinumCars Arena for sponsorship reasons, is a multi-purpose stadium in Norrköping, Sweden. It opened on 25 September 1903 and is currently used mostly for football matches. It is the home arena for IFK Norrköping, IK Sleipner and for IF Sylvia. The stadium had a capacity of 19,414 people until 2008–09 when the arena was re-built. Construction began on 27 April 1903, and inauguration occurred on 25 September the same year, during the Norrköping Sports Association's Sport Festival. During the 1958 FIFA World Cup, it hosted some group stage matches. During the Euro 1992, it hosted CIS – Germany (1–1), Scotland – Germany (0–2) and Scotland – CIS (3–0), all in Group B. The 1978 Svenska Cupen final took place on 4 November 1978 at Strandängens IP in Bromölla. The match was contested by Allsvenskan sides Malmö FF and Kalmar FF. Svenska Cupen
Svenska Cupen (, ''The Swedish Cup'') is a knockout cup competition in Swedish football and the main Swedish football cup. Svenska Cupen usually refers to the men's tournament, although a women's tournament is also held. Each year 96 teams compete, comprising the 16 teams from Allsvenskan and the 16 teams of Superettan together with 64 teams from lower tiers of the league system. The winners qualify for the qualifying stages of the UEFA Europa League. The winner is awarded Gustaf VI Adolf Cup. Compared to cups in many other countries, Svenska Cupen attracts considerably less public interest and even the cup final is rarely sold out. Consequently, the Swedish Football Association has experimented with the format in order to raise the profile of the cup.
