''Infomaniac'' is the second studio album by American indie rock band Nightmare of You. Background In October 2007, the band announced that they had begun working on their second album. Between April and June 2008, the band toured across the US; the April dates were supported by Edison Glass and Jukebox the Ghost, while the remainder were supported by the Graduate, Paper Rival, and Edison Glass. On July 22, 2008, a demo of a track titled "I Think I'm Getting Older" was posted on the band's Myspace profile. It was mentioned that the band had recently recorded 6 or 7 songs in guitarist Joe McCaffrey's bedroom. On July 29, another demo, titled "Someday But Not Today" was posted online. It was mentioned that the band were writing and demoing songs for their next album. In August 2008, third and fourth demos, "Hey Sweetheart" and "Long Island", were posted online. Nightmare Of You
Nightmare of You is an American indie rock band from New York City. Formed in 2004, the band currently consists of original founder vocalist Brandon Reilly, guitarist Joseph McCaffrey, and drummer Michael Fleischmann. They have toured the US, and the UK both as a headline act and in support of other artists including AFI, Fall Out Boy, She Wants Revenge, Brand New, The (International) Noise Conspiracy, and Circa Survive. They have previously been nominated for mtvU Woodie awards for Best Tour and Most Downloaded. In April 2006, they were the winners of Yahoo! ''Nightmare of You'' is the debut studio album by American Rock music, rock band Nightmare of You. Background and production The Movielife broke up in September 2003; guitarist Brandon Reilly (musician), Brandon Reilly formed Nightmare of You the following month, with the intention of making more pop-oriented music. As news was being spread that Reilly had started a new band, several demos (with Hot Rod Circuit drummer Mike Poorman) were posted online in January 2004. By this point, the band consisted of him and guitarist Joe McCaffery; they had written 15 songs. The following month, former Movielife bassist Phil Navetta had joined the band; drummer Sammy Siegler would be added sometime after. Edison Glass
Edison Glass was an American indie rock band from Coram, Long Island, New York, consisting of Joshua Silverberg (singer/guitarist), Josh "Mountain" Morin (singer/bassist), Joe Morin (drummer), and James Usher (guitarist). The band was called Mannafest when it formed in 1998; it was eventually changed to Edison, and later to Edison Glass when they were signed by Credential Recordings in 2004. Their current band name is derived from the names of inventor Thomas Edison and composer Philip Glass. The Graduate (band)
The Graduate was an American indie/emo band from Springfield, Illinois. History The Graduate formed in central Illinois in November 2005, after the breakup of two other local bands (Best of Winter from Quincy, Illinois and Jack from Springfield, Illinois) whose members began playing shows together. Lead singer Corey Warning said of the band's name, "None of us graduated from college. Well, we all graduated from high school, but none of us from college, so the name's kind of ironic." Paper Rival
Paper Rival was an indie rock band formed in late 2005 from Nashville, Tennessee. Originally known as Keating, the band changed its name to Paper Rival in 2007 after a tour of Canada where the band was mistaken for a Canadian band who already possessed the name. In December 2007, Paper Rival was named Spin.com's "Artist of the Day". The band released its debut full-length album produced by Patrick Damphier, ''Dialog'' on May 20, 2008. The group cited artists Blind Lemon Jefferson, Merle Haggard and Bruce Cockburn (whose song "Pacing the Cage" was covered on their 2007 self-titled EP) as musical inspirations. Alkaline Trio
Alkaline Trio is an American punk rock band from Chicago, Illinois. Since 2001, the band has consisted of Matt Skiba (vocals, guitar), Dan Andriano (vocals, bass) and Derek Grant (drums, vocals). Founded in late 1996 by Skiba, bassist Rob Doran, and drummer Glenn Porter, Alkaline Trio released its debut single, "Sundials", in 1997. Following its release, Doran departed from the band and was replaced by Andriano. Saves the Day is an American Rock music, rock band from Princeton, New Jersey, formed in 1997. The band currently consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Chris Conley, guitarist Arun Bali, and bassist Rodrigo Palma. After forming under the name Sefler in 1994, Saves the Day released their debut studio album, ''Can't Slow Down (Saves the Day album), Can't Slow Down'', in 1998. It was followed by ''Through Being Cool'' (1999), which featured their first single, "Shoulder to the Wheel".
