''Infierno en el Ring'' (2015) (Spanish for "Inferno in the Ring") was a major professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event that will be produced by the Mexican '' lucha libre'' promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) that took place on Friday December 25, 2015 in Arena México, Mexico City, Mexico. The show replaced CMLL's regularly scheduled ''CMLL Super Viernes'' show as is tradition with most of CMLL's signature events. The 2015 event marked the seventh time CMLL has held a show under that name with previous shows in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2013 and 2014. Each of the shows were main evented by a multi-man steel cage match, contested under ''Lucha de Apuestas'', or bet match rules referred to as ''Infierno en el Ring''. Lucha libre (, meaning "freestyle wrestling" or literally translated as "free fight") is the term used in Latin America for professional wrestling. Since its introduction to Mexico in the early 20th century, it has developed into a unique form of the genre, characterized by colorful masks, rapid sequences of holds and maneuvers, and "high-flying" maneuvers, some of which have been adopted in the United States, Japan, and elsewhere.
