Infernal (Danish Band)
Infernal (occasionally stylized with metal umlaut as Infërnal) is a dance-pop group from Denmark, consisting of members Lina Rafn and Paw Lagermann. They made their Danish debut in 1997 with the release of the track "Sorti de L'enfer", and went on to international chart success in the 2000s. Their most successful single to date has been "From Paris to Berlin", which charted well in many European countries throughout 2006 and 2007. In addition to the original single, an alternate version was released in the UK titled "From London to Berlin", supporting England in the 2006 Football World Cup. Infernal have released four studio albums, with the 1998 debut album ''Infernal Affairs'' reaching double platinum sales in Denmark. Lina Rafn
Lina Rafn Sørensen (born 12 August 1976), known professionally as Lina Rafn is a Danish female singer, songwriter and producer active in the band Infernal. Additionally, she is a former VJ on the Danish music video channel ''The Voice TV Danmark'', presenting various charts. Lina Rafn was born in Copenhagen, and was a professional dancer from a very early age. She made her professional singing debut in 1997 with the founding of Infernal with Paw Lagermann and Søren Haahr. Infernal's debut single, " Sorti de L'enfer" was an instrumental dance-track. From there on, she gained worldwide fame and recognition for her work. She is noted for her strong vocals and, along with Paw, created the hit "From Paris to Berlin". 2006 Football World Cup
The 2006 FIFA World Cup, also branded as Germany 2006, was the 18th FIFA World Cup, the quadrennial international football world championship tournament. It was held from 9 June to 9 July 2006 in Germany, which had won the right to host the event in July 2000. Teams representing 198 national football associations from all six populated continents participated in the qualification process which began in September 2003. Thirty-one teams qualified from this process along with hosts Germany for the finals tournament. It was the second time that Germany staged the competition and the first as a unified country along with the former East Germany with Leipzig as a host city (the other was in 1974 in West Germany), and the 10th time that the tournament was held in Europe. Laura Branigan
Laura Ann Branigan (July 3, 1952 – August 26, 2004) was an American singer, songwriter, and actress. Her signature song, the platinum-certified 1982 single " Gloria", stayed on the U.S. ''Billboard'' Hot 100 for 36 weeks, then a record for a female artist, peaking at No. 2. It also reached number one in Australia and Canada. Branigan's "Gloria" was a cover of a song written by Italian singer-songwriters Giancarlo Bigazzi and Umberto Tozzi. Raffaele Riefoli
Raffaele Riefoli (born September 29, 1959 in Margherita di Savoia, Italy) is an Italian singer-songwriter who is better known as simply Raf. Biography Riefoli lived the few first years of the 1980s in London, England, before starting out his musical career in 1984, landing mostly in the new wave scene with his English language debut album, ''Raf''. Big Brother (Denmark)
''Big Brother Danmark'' was the Danish version of the international reality television franchise ''Big Brother'' created by producer John de Mol. The series debuted on Danish television in January 2001 and was axed in June 2014, due to poor ratings. The show first aired two regular seasons on ''TvDanmark2'' (Now Kanal 4) in 2001. The series returned once again in 2003 on ''TvDanmark2'', first with a celebrity season called "''V.I.P''.", later that year ''TvDanmark2'' aired the first regular Big Brother season in nearly two years. Kalinka (Infernal Song)
"Kalinka" is a song by the Danish dance-pop duo Infernal. It was released as the third single from their debut album, ''Infernal Affairs'', in 1998. The song is based on the Russian Drobushki folk melody, and samples "Kalinka" by the Soviet Army Chorus & Band, directed by Boris Alexandrov and recorded in 1956 and 1963.
