Indragiri Hilir Regency
Indragiri Hilir (or Lower Indragiri) is a regency (''kabupaten'') of Riau Province, Indonesia. It is located on the island of Sumatra. The regency has an area of 13,525.10 km2 and had a population of 661,779 at the 2010 census. The annual statistics through the 2010-2020 decade indicated a steady growth, and the final pre-census estimate predicted for 2020 was 747,813; however the 2020 census revealed there had been an actual small decline over the decade to a figure of 654,909. The administrative centre of the regency is the town of Tembilahan Tembilahan ( Jawi:تمبيلاهن ) is a town and district of Indragiri Hilir Regency, Riau province of Indonesia. Indragiri River
The Indragiri River is a river in Sumatra, in the Indonesian province of Riau, Indonesia, about 800 km northwest of the capital Jakarta. It is formed from the union of the Ombilin River and the Sinamar River, and empties into the Strait of Malacca. The middle part that flows in the Kuantan Singingi Regency is called Batang Kuantan (Kuantan River).''Maatschappij-Belangen'', 1875. Geography The river flows in the eastern area of Sumatra with predominantly tropical rainforest climate (designated as ''Af'' in the Köppen-Geiger climate classification). The annual average temperature in the area is 23 °C. The warmest month is February, when the average temperature is around 24 °C, and the coldest is August, at 22 °C.
