Indonesian Olympic Committee
Indonesian Olympic Committee ( id, Komite Olimpiade Indonesia, abbreviate: KOI) is the national Olympic committee of Indonesia and the member of Olympic Council of Asia. Their duty is to organize Indonesian participation in international sporting events, such as Summer Olympic Games, Asian Games, Southeast Asian Games, etc. As well as submitting bid for Indonesia as the host, planning and organizing official international sporting events to be held in Indonesia. Weightlifting At The 2018 Summer Youth Olympics
Weightlifting at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics was held from 7 to 13 October. The events took place at Parque Polideportivo Roca in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Qualification Each National Olympic Committee (NOC) can enter a maximum of 4 competitors, 2 per each gender. As hosts, Argentina was guaranteed two quotas, 1 athlete per gender and a further 10 boys and 10 girls was to be decided by the Tripartite Commission. However only 9 girls were selected. The remaining 88 places shall be decided by team classification results from qualification events, namely the 2017 World Youth Championships and five continental qualification tournaments. To be eligible to participate at the Youth Olympics athletes must have been born between 1 January 2001 and 31 December 2003. Furthermore, NOCs will only be allowed to enter a single athlete in an event and the chosen athlete must have participated in either the 2017 World Youth Championships or a continental championship in 2017 or 2018. Indonesia made its Paralympic Games debut at the 1976 Summer Paralympics in Toronto, with competitors in athletics, lawn bowls, swimming and table tennis. The country has participated in every subsequent edition of the Summer Paralympics, except 1992, but has never taken part in the Winter Paralympics. As of 2020 edition, Indonesians have won a total of twenty-seven Paralympic medals: six gold, seven silver and fourteen bronze. The country's first two gold medals were won in 1976, by Itria Dini in the men's precision javelin (category F), and by Syarifuddin in the men's singles in lawn bowls (category E). Basketball At The 2018 Summer Youth Olympics
Basketball at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics was held from 7 to 17 October. The events took place at the Parque Mujeres Argentinas in Buenos Aires, Argentina. As in previous Youth Olympic games, the 3x3 format is used along with the skill challenge. Qualification Each National Olympic Committee (NOC) can enter a maximum of 2 teams, 1 team of 4 athletes per each gender. As hosts, Argentina was given 2 teams, 1 per each gender. The winner of the Men’s and Women’s 2017 U18 3x3 World Cup qualified to the Youth Olympics. Afterwards, the top 8 unqualified teams from each gender in the FIBA U18 3x3 National Federation Rankings (updated on 1 April 2018) qualified to the Youth Olympics. Beach Volleyball at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics was held from August 17 to August 27. This was the first time beach volleyball was held at the Youth Olympics with indoor volleyball appearing at the 2010 edition. The events took place at the Nanjing Olympic Sports Center in Nanjing, China. Qualification A total of 36 teams participated in each gender category. Each National Olympic Committee (NOC) could enter a maximum of 2 teams of 2 athletes, 1 per each gender. As hosts, China was initially given the maximum quota, but only field a girls' team. A further 10 teams, 5 in each gender was to be decided by the Tripartite Commission, but only 5 were given. The other spots were reallocated to the top ranked teams not yet qualified. Sailing has featured as a sport at the Youth Olympic Summer Games since its first edition in 2010.
