Indonesia Fed Cup Team
The Indonesia Billie Jean King Cup team represents Indonesia in Billie Jean King Cup tennis competition and are governed by the Indonesian Tennis Association. They have not competed in the World Groups since 2006. History Indonesia competed in its first Fed Cup in 1969. Their best result was reaching the quarterfinals in 1991. In 2006, Indonesia qualified for World Group II, but refused to play Israel and forfeited their play-off match against the Israel Fed Cup team in Tel Aviv, and hence was relegated. Israel thus won by forfeit, and advanced to the 2007 Fed Cup World Group II. It was reported that the Indonesian Tennis Association was instructed to forfeit by the Indonesian government. The International Tennis Federation's President Francesco Ricci Bitti said the Federation was saddened by the decision. 1969 Federation Cup (tennis)
The 1969 Federation Cup was the seventh edition of what is now known as the Fed Cup. 20 nations participated in the tournament, which was held at the Athens Tennis Club in Athens, Greece from 19 to 25 May. United States defeated Australia in the final, in what was the fourth final featuring both teams. Jessy Rompies
Jessy Priskila Rompies (born 14 April 1990) is an Indonesian tennis player. She made her debut as a professional in 2004, aged 14, at an ITF tournament in Jakarta, and is coached by Suzanna Wibowo. Career Rompies has played in several junior Grand Slam tournaments. Her best result was reaching the semifinals of the 2008 US Open girls' doubles, partnered by Beatrice Gumulya. Lavinia Tananta (born 3 November 1987) is an Indonesian former tennis player. She made her debut as a professional in May 2003, aged 15, at an ITF tournament in Jakarta. In December 2008, Tananta won the women's singles in the inaugural Garuda Indonesia Tennis Masters, defeating Ayu-Fani Damayanti in the final. Ayu Fani Damayanti
Ayu Fani Damayanti (born 29 November 1988) is a former Indonesian tennis player. She made her debut as a professional in 2003, aged 14, at an ITF tournament in Jakarta. Her greatest success came in doubles competitions, especially with Septi Mende as partner. The pair won five doubles titles on the ITF Women's Circuit, and the silver medal in doubles at the Southeast Asian Games in 2005. She won seven medals in total at the SEA Games from 2005 to 2015, including gold in the women's singles at the 2011 Southeast Asian Games in Palembang. Damayanti was part of Indonesia Fed Cup team several times between 2005 and 2015. She was part of Indonesia's successful World Group II play-off against Puerto Rico in 2005. Sandy Gumulya
Sandy Gumulya (born 2 April 1986) is an Indonesian former tennis player and the older sister of Beatrice Gumulya, also a professional tennis player. Career Sandy made her debut as a professional in July 2000, aged 14, at an ITF tournament in Jakarta. In March 2009, she was the highest ranked Indonesian in the WTA rankings (singles).
