Indianapolis Diesels
The Indianapolis Diesels, formerly known as the Indiana Diesels, were a team in the North American Basketball League (NABL). Based in Indianapolis, Indiana, the Diesels played their home games at Emmerich Manual High School south of downtown Indianapolis during their last seasons. In their inaugural season in the American Basketball Association, the team finished with an 8–4 record and defeated the West Virginia Blazers in the first round of the playoffs before losing to the Chicago Steam. The next year, 2011, they moved to the Premier Basketball League (PBL) and played their next two seasons in Columbus, Indiana. In their last season playing in Columbus, the team reached the PBL semi-finals. The next season, after moving to Manual High School, the team reached the PBL Finals; however, they lost to the Rochester Razorsharks. American Basketball Association (2000–present)
The American Basketball Association (ABA) is an American semi-professional men's basketball minor league that was founded in 1999. The ABA has teams based in the United States and previously had international teams based in Canada and Mexico. In the past, there were traveling teams from countries such as Australia and Japan who played in the ABA. Additionally, there were players from other countries that were on a U.S. team to showcase other talented athletes in the country. The current ABA bears no relation to the original American Basketball Association (1967–1976) that was considered a major league, and merged with the National Basketball Association (NBA) in 1976. Premier Basketball League
The Premier Basketball League, often abbreviated to the PBL, is an American professional men's basketball minor league that began play in January 2008. The league folded after the 2017 season. It was announced that the league would be revived under new management for the 2020 season. The league announced due coronavirus outbreak the season would be put on hold. North American Basketball League
The North American Basketball League (NABL) is an American minor professional basketball league organization founded in 2016. History Formed in 2016, the NABL began with 10 teams based in the South and Southwest regions of the United States. The first regular season games were played on April 30, 2016. Atlanta Show defeated Music City Kings in the first-ever league game 113-78. Atlanta Show would go undefeated on their way to capture the first league championship in August by defeating the Dallas Hoyas 145-110 in the championship game. Season two saw expansion to a national level with 19 teams competing. Four teams from the Northwest were added including the Vancouver-based SB Battle. Emmerich Manual High School
Emmerich Manual High School is a public high school in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA. It was a traditional high school in the Indianapolis Public Schools district. It is now one of the schools operated by Christel House Academy. History Establishment To provide training in such fields as mechanics, drafting, and the domestic arts, a resolution was adopted which petitioned the Indiana General Assembly to permit the school board to levy a tax for the construction of a new industrial school in Indianapolis.
