Indiana Denchev Vassilev ( bg, Индиана Денчев Василев; born February 16, 2001) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a winger for St. Louis City SC. He has represented the United States at the under-17, under-18, and under-20 levels. He has played in the English Premier League for Aston Villa, as well as spending time on loan at English Football League sides Cheltenham Town and Burton Albion, winning the 2020–21 League Two title at the former. Career Aston Villa Vassilev started his career with Tormenta FC Academy in Statesboro, Georgia from 2013–2015 before switching to IMG Academy in Florida. He was first scouted by Aston Villa in November 2016 and then again while representing the United States at the 2017 U17 World Cup. He was finally offered a professional contract in 2018. 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup
The 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup was the 17th FIFA U-17 World Cup, a biennial international football tournament contested by men's under-17 national teams. Organised by FIFA, the tournament took place in India between 6 and 28 October 2017, after the country was awarded the hosting rights on 5 December 2013. The tournament marked the first time India have hosted a FIFA tournament and the first Asian country to host U-17 World Cup since United Arab Emirates in 2013. The attendance for this World Cup was a record 1,347,133 surpassing China's record in 1985 with 1,230,976. The New England Revolution is an American professional soccer club based in the Greater Boston area that competes in Major League Soccer (MLS), in the Eastern Conference of the league. It is one of the ten charter clubs of MLS, having competed in the league since its inaugural season. The club is owned by Robert Kraft, who also owns the New England Patriots along with his son, Jonathan Kraft. The name "Revolution" refers to the New England region's significant involvement in the American Revolution that took place from 1775 to 1783.
