Indiana State Sycamores Women's Basketball
The Indiana State Sycamores basketball team is an NCAA Division I women's basketball program of Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Indiana. The Sycamores compete in the Missouri Valley Conference. Sycamore basketball history In 1971, women's basketball became an intercollegiate sport at Indiana State University. In 1982, the sport was elevated to revenue status, which meant more money was available. Under Coach Edith Godleski, Indiana State qualified for its first WNIT Tournament game in 1976. The Sycamores were a charter member of the Gateway Conference in 1983, maintaining membership until the Gateway merged with the Missouri Valley Conference in 1992. Purdue Boilermakers
The Purdue Boilermakers are the official intercollegiate athletics teams representing Purdue University, located in West Lafayette, Indiana. As is common with athletic nicknames, the Boilermakers nickname is also used as colloquial designation of Purdue's students and alumni at large. The nickname is often shortened to "Boilers" by fans. Indiana Basketball Hall Of Fame
The Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame is a sports museum and hall of fame in New Castle, Indiana. While it honors men and women associated with high school, college, and professional basketball in Indiana, an emphasis is placed on the athlete's high school career for induction. History The Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame was organized in 1962. The museum was in Indianapolis from 1970 to 1986; the present-day facility in New Castle opened in 1990. Cheryl Reeve
Cheryl Reeve (born September 20, 1966) is an American basketball head coach and President of Basketball Operations for the Minnesota Lynx of the WNBA. Reeve has coached the Lynx to four league championships. In WNBA history, she has the highest winning percentage, she has won the most games of any female coach, and she has won the most postseason games of any coach. Reeve was named the WNBA Coach of the Year in 2011, 2016, and 2020 and WNBA Basketball Executive of the Year in 2019. Teri Moren
Teri Marie Moren (born April 14, 1969) is the current head coach of the Indiana University women's basketball team. Moren's Hoosiers won the 2018 Women's National Invitation Tournament. As an assistant coach she won a gold medal at the 2022 FIBA Under-18 Women's Americas Championship. Moren was named the 2016 Big Ten Conference Women's Basketball Coach of the Year and was inducted into the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame in 2014. The Women's Basketball Coaches Association is an association of coaches of women's basketball teams at all levels. The organization was formed in 1981, with the goal of addressing the needs of women's basketball coaches. Ball State Cardinals
The Ball State Cardinals are the athletic teams that represent Ball State University, located in Muncie, Indiana. The Cardinals are part of the NCAA Division I Mid-American Conference. Charlie Cardinal is the team mascot.
